Hi

I have a 4 year old AM vantage and it needs servicing. Can anyone recommend a good independant specialist in the North West please?

I used Bridge Mill to recondition the steering rack on my Vanquish. They have all the gear and know their stuff. I would certainly recommend them.

PM me and I can put you onto a good service centre.

One that has the ACTUAL Aston diagnostic systems.. not many places have the full kit.. in fact very few outside of Aston.

I won't place the details in here as I know the owner and could be deemed as advertising... :-)

So, pm me, I'll provide details then the choice is your's.

These restrictions on inadvertent advertising (real or perceived) are ridiculous and are detrimental to the usefulness of a forum, one of whose primary raisons d'être is to share exactly this kind of useful information. Pity.

I can't see how putting a recommendation up, is advertisingconfused.....

If you know of a place that offers good service....let others know...

Proper AM servicing available across the A66 in Beamish.

http://www.astonservicing.com/

Have a good day out and enjoy fair priced service by an official Aston Martin Service Centre.

And I have nothing to do with them other than a satisfied customer.

Putting on a recommendation isn't advertising and would never be deemed as so.

Not sure why you're being so coy, forums are about sharing information. Unless of course there's more to it than that wink

Raisons d'être, definitely. These are my reasons for existing. Ce sont mes raisons d'éxister, d'être. Stands to reasons, innit? smile

Just come back from Bridge Mill, I would recommend. Far better and much easier to deal with than Stratsone

Compared to a garage where you can actually talk to the guy’s doing the work. Get a good impression of them personally. Explain the faults you have to the man who will be investigating it fixing it instead of the man in the white coat who feels he has moved on from getting his hands dirty. Where it is the guy you are talking to who will actually earning his bread and butter from the reputation that he is trying to build up. Need I go on?

Main dealers need to get more realistic with their pricing...... It's as simple as that

+1

Never had a problem with Stratstone Wilmslow, in fact they were excellent compared to the BMW dealers I was used to, but £2.5k for a new clutch, erm no thanks. Bridge Mill got that job and couldn't be faulted.

Its not just the cost but:
I had my Vanquish steering rack overhauled by Bridge Mill.
The guy who does the overhauls picked my rack up from them
on his way back from picking others up from Aston Martin.
I had the whole job done including labour, alignment etc,
for the price Aston had quoted just for the rack overhaul.
The quality of the actual unit work done is identical,
its done by the same guy.

Ok,, :-)

The service centre I was thinking about is "Amari Supercars nr Preston"

Having gotten to know Amari over recent months I just didn't want to seem like I was being biased.

I've posted things in the past (recently) on PH and had them removed by a MOD???? no idea why as I hadn't actually broken any rules.

So excuse me for being careful :-)

Also I host a local monthly meet, where a group of enthusiasts from all walks of life meet up and tyre kick.

Amari has kindly allowed us to use his Showroom this Sunday for a meet-up and we went as far as arranging a Burger van etc...

Now the local FM station has got wind of it somehow and they are sending down promo staff... talk about Snowballing....

Check the "NORTHWEST" gassing area for more details.. I won't spam any more of them in here.
