Seems like the best of both worlds

Excellent. Go to the bother of blanking out the number plate on the car (God knows why) but leave it visible on the picture on the wall......

I think the one on the wall was an AM publicity shot i.e. not his car wink

If you had a small number plate there would have been no need to do that.

I just love that shot. Brilliant! A show of true dedication to the cause. The ultimate interim measure. Glad to see you have something more permanent sorted now to accommodate you're lovely car.

Reviving an old thread, but I did admire the lengths some of you have gone to cocoon your P&J's, quite inspirational. It's took me this long to get something built on the back of my old prefab garage that was worthy of parking the 7 in.

Still a bit to do and more cabinets to build to hide more of the crap I'm convinced I'll find a use for in the future.

The polycarb windows have silver blinds which are down more often than not, but open like this, I can do the mundane gardening jobs and still admire previous mornings polishing.

Always liked Charlie Mackintosh's style, so thought I'd have a go at borrowing a few ideas out of his books.

Really looking forward to better weather to get some of the other jobs done on it.

Yes that's really good. Is it wood and timber painted dark grey or steel? Did you build it yourself? Interested to know more about the construction. smile

Hi RichB,
Yes it's all tanalised timber, comes rough sawn, but I planed it all square, black masonary paint to finish and salvaged 10mm polycarb sheeting from a museum exhibition I removed. I'll post up some more pics showing the odd detail over the weekend. The roof is triple cell polycarb roof sheet (6metre by 2metre) each side. Must show you the electrics when I get a chance too, got some 4' LED strip lights housed into the trusses, works a treat.
