Hello, -EDIT FOR 2014-

On Sunday the -27th of April 2014- we will be holding our annual Spring Open day. This event was established a number of years ago as an informal early season club gathering with workshop facilities available. It is now a regular social event attended by local clubs to meet, chat over a coffee and see what AS Motorsport has been up to over the past year.

The day is held at Poplar Farm, Bressingham, Diss, Norfolk, IP22 2AP. Our modest premises are in converted farm buildings on a working farm. This means that we require any minors to be supervised at all times as there may be hazards present for the over inquisitive.
There is plenty of space for vehicles around the farm yard and we will borrow some undercover barn parking if the weather is uncooperative.
BBQ and refreshments available.
Bressingham Steam museum and Blooms Nursery / gardens in just down the road for those wishing to make a day of it.

A S Motorsport Ltd. was was established back in 2007 after acquiring the production tooling and rights for the DBR replica.

Since then we have updated the chassis, running gear and now have the option of a handmade aluminium body made from our 3D CAD designed buck.

Further details of what we get up to can be found at www.asmotorsport.co.uk and also at http://asm-replica-aston-martin-dbr2.blogspot.co.u...

Thanks,

Andrew Soar

Hi,

This years Spring Open Day will be held on April 27th.
This is also Drive it Day, so we should have quite a few local car clubs out and about visiting.

Details as above.

Hello Andrew,

I am now based just up the road so would love to pop along. But I might have to disappear at lunchtime.

What time in the morning to things generally get going?

Thanks, Andrew. I'll be along nice and early(ish).

Also, have you seen that some of us are going to be at Snetterton on Friday 19th September? http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... Is there any chance that you could bring along one of your DBRs? cool

Well, I managed to pop along earlier but unfortunately I couldn't hang around for long. The weather today turned out to be great.

It is a very impressive set up. I met Andrew and had a lovely chat about his cars. He is keen to bring one along to Snetterton in September, maybe for some charity laps around the track.

As I was leaving, there was an impressive line of cars arriving, including a gaggle of Astons. Was is anybody else from on here?

Hi There,

Blimey, that was quick. I didn't manage to get many pictures of the day but you seem to have managed snatch a nice selection there.
It was nice to meet you and so many other like minded folk. I counted around fifty cars parked up at one point and there were a good number of those with an Aston badge on the front.

I would be very happy to run a car or two over to Snetterton in September. Some track time sounds like a great opportunity to play.

I would just like to thank all of the visitors for their interest and support for what we are doing. The charity buckets amassed £270 for East Anglia Children's Hospice.

Thanks again,

Andrew

Ed,

I liked your suggestion of a group purchase.
Perhaps every AMOC area should do like wise and then run a single marque series at the race meetings....

Looking forward to Burghley.
