Hi Molly.
I think the problem us south east Astoneers have with arranging a good hoon is that we just don't have the roads for safe camera free fun. I did arrange a meet a couple of years back in the Cotswolds but had to rely on a local friend for the route.
Do we not have a Scottish contingent that actually live in Scotland. I am only thinking maybe the roads similar to Wales.
Will give it some thought as its a great idea.
Oh and all booked in for July, can't wait.

Scotland (Loch Lomond upwards) is the very best driving for a fleet of Astonauts, light traffic, flowing roads, spectacular scenery, deep fried Mars bars and Irn Bru

I was Billy No Mates on this 'wee' drive, just me and the Aston and we got to know each other very well
My round the Highlands trip was near to 1000miles 
The problem maybe that the Sotherners do have a hefty journey before the fun starts, it's 300miles from Birmingham to Loch Lomond

I will ask around on some other forums and see if there anything recommended for a decent drive. Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire are BIG places!

Forget the Cotswolds too many scameras and tourist.
My suggetion beside Scotland would be Peaks/Pennines or South West Wales

Cotswolds is a possibility, some good roads however sadly a good few are littered with 50mph signs.
I'll have a look to see what maybe possible to get a good route worked out.

The A361 between Burford and Bibury is an awesome piece of road (i used to race up and down it on the way to / from uni in my 1.3 escort and it was fun - haven't been back in the Aston yet but I bet it's now full of cameras)I'll have a look to see what maybe possible to get a good route worked out.

I think it has to be Wales, Scotland or France really - very frustrating sitting in a great car in slow moving traffic. I've *really* got to move out of London!
Or... and bear with me... A quick jaunt over La Manche through the tunnel and a drive around northern France? Maybe some quiet roads around the Le Touquet area, I have a contact with some lovely routes and the hotel Westminster does a good group dinner. Plus there's a casino in town 
Did the trip with the Maserati owners back in the day and it all worked out very well indeed. The roads were not like the Welsh ones we've just done but I don't think anywhere else is! If demand permits, we could also take in a half day at Abbeville or Ecuyers? Again, I have a contact via Lotus on Track... Thinking out loud here.

Even worse 
Lorries in the week and tourists at the weekend, it is the major cross pennines route other than M62 and A50
There are some good "back roads"
I contemplated the Lakes but that suffers the same
What about The Forest of Bowland
I might have a nice little route around SW Peaks & Derbyshire Dales but it does have ALOT of "back roads"
