Having had both I'd agree. Bentley much better car IMHO, but DBS is so beautiful...and appreciating.

Shame the Bentley didn't! frown

Maybe an error selling my DBS...however onwards and upwards. I did jump into it thinking prices won't fall much. However my first priority is to buy a car that I love to drive and enjoy. If you love your P&J, enjoy driving it and it is appreciating then that's a great position to be in. Not happened to me yet sadly.

I'd still have swapped the DBS even if I had known prices would rise...no regrets.

You lucky chaps that love your DBSs must be wondering how high these prices can go!cool

My F430 was rising in value rapidly while I had it. Trouble is that it's meaningless unless you're in the car business. I no longer wanted my 430 because I wanted a Mclaren. Thus I sold it and lost out on future appreciation (which I thought would be likely). However, I did get into a car that I wanted to be in.

Wish I'd kept the DBS but hey ho onwards and sideways smile
Could have bought a new mattress too rolleyes

Anyway, I hear there could be a very reasonably priced morning frost V12V coming onto the market to make room for a boxteryikes That is if you're planning your return. thumbup
Hi Marcel.

Can't believe someone would trade in a V12V for a boxter. You'll be telling me it's a white boxter next !!!!
I'm back wavey, may well be a change of plan though mes amis, just seen a morning frost DBS scratchchin might be a better investment than a Spyder the way these prices are heading wink

Your up late Andrew. V12 Vanquish will be the better investment but you'll have to get one quick before the bonnet hinges wear out.

Good to hear from you Neil, yes up late, couldn't sleep as too excited by the generous offer Marcel made me to take the V12V off my hands, think he wanted it as a pool car rolleyes. Got a pit in the garage so that might qualify me for Vanquish ownership.tumbleweed

I am now thoroughly gutted I didn't take the DBS I was going to buy last year - 14k mileage and £94k!!!
Come on Julian.... Update your Bentley to a nice 'Speed'.... You know it makes sense....
I'm seriously considering it David! Can't really grumble though as my DB9 appears to still be worth what I paid for it two years ago, which is quite remarkable!

Also, the profit in the DBS would have been somewhat meaningless as I wouldn't have wanted to sell it anyway.

Cars are for enjoyment and fun in any case!

Nice to know you only have my best interests in mind Francis!

If you started doing body work and respraying Masha could keep you in business full time. She managed to reverse her Merc into the gate post last week and I don't know what she did to the front bumper but I am guessing even you can't polish out paint that is no longer there!eek

You know her, it never is. It was probably mine for having the gate put in a place I should have known she wanted to reverse into several years latter! rolleyes

From the Nicholas Mee review of 2016

http://www.nicholasmee.co.uk/sell-your-car/market-...

“And you know what our most requested model was in 2016? The Gaydon-built DBS. The last two on the website lasted only 48 hours before they sold. Look for a manual 2+2 with Bang & Olufsen sound – that’s the one to have, perhaps in ‘Bond’ grey.”

They can't get enough of them. The Manual car at £125k has gone in the last couple of days yes

I know for a fact "Works" have the same issue.
