I've been offered 70k against me paying Liston 170k! I think it takes the p@@@! Given the condition of mine I would have though 92 ish private and 85 PX but what's being offered is silly.

I have just been looking at DBS prices. It seems to me now that good 09 plates are £85k at dealers so I guess bids around £70- £75K whilst annoying are looking realistic.

I have just been bid on my V12V and it was not what I had hoped!
This seems a nice car..

Comments?
I was thinking about chopping my V12V in for an older DBS and getting the wife a Freelander.

I seem to remember you bought yours from JCT at almost the same time as I bought my meteorite V12V - in fact I remember the two cars were side by side in the showroom at the time. Bit surprised to hear your dissapointed with your bid - I was delighted with the bid I recieved on mine. Was it JCT who bid?

We all know you're the international spy Yeti, drop the act of blaming it on other people.

As I noted in another thread, you seem to tick a lot of boxes. Travels away a lot, drives a Lotus Esprit/submarine, an Aston, has a penchant for Omega watches and Martinis... Need I say much else? tongue out

Hi Paul,
No I have not had the pleasure of driving the DBS.

I am guessing it will not have the grip, raw feeling of power and cornering of the V12V which is a delight.

The benefit I was looking is that its got four seats. Or at least enough space for a small child/ well behaved dog! And I may have spare cash to get the wife a freelander.

Adam, I have not been accurately bid on the car other than JCT being told its value is in the 90s as its only done 3000 miles.

Its a fair comment people saying that DBS prices have further south to go versus the V12.

Regs all,
Just off to Ripley castle for some petrol head nirvana as the suns out!

I think a figure in the 90's is fair enough for a trade in on a 2yr old car, don't you? Bear in mind any dealer will mark it up by £10k to sell.

I have to say I think you are kidding yourself if you believe the DBS has 4 seats. Try sitting in one with a small child behind you and then adjust the seat to a normal driving position without crushing their legs. It would have to be a VERY small child to work, but I can see this might work on the passenger side, if not the drivers side.

Pretty crazy.

Especially given what you can get Vanq II's for now which, by all accounts, is a far superior car.

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/a...

I guess it's that gearbox that seems to be holding up the prices.

Good luck to them if they can get that money for it biggrin
