There are also lots of Astons that Vanq2 are far superior than, take the DB5 for example.

I think that anyone sitting on a DBS, especially a manual, will not be able to replace it for anything less than 6 figures in the very near future.

I wonder how many of the people that originally posted on this thread are still alive.

Lol. Very good. :-)

Although I'd argue that everything else that comes with a Mac actually makes it more like 200% lol

Makes me laugh

Not sure why anyone would say these prices are stupid when a similar aged Ferrari Cheeses might be this or more

They just seem to have fallen into "collectable" territory probably because relatively few were built

Not yet Tony, I was under very strict instructions by my dearly beloved not to do any mods - a condition of purchase! We'll see, I might just get it absorbed into the next service! What's in your stable at the moment, any new additions?

So, nothing's changed, you're still a serial car purchaser then! Good to see.

There were those, including me, who would have said that £250k was a stupid price for a DB5 a few years ago. They are now way higher.

I know you traded your DBS (going up) for a Vanq 2 (going down) but you should be cheering. The rise in DBS values is underpinning Vanq 2 values (and Vanq 1 values are underpinning DBS values).

When you look at where classic Astons are trading, when you look at where modern Ferraris are trading the numbers make sense on a relative basis.

They are worth what people will pay for them. Currently that looks like solid £100k+ for manuals in 007 specs. More for Volantes.

The manual DBS is still way behind the value curve compared with say 550/575 manuals, they're the nearest comparison but they're a design generation behind

Buy one while you can and drive it

I suspect there are far, far fewer manual 550s/575s than manual DBS, since everyone bought the F1 trans and only the diehard bought the manual. Just like the DBS once the TT2 was on offer; everyone bought it and only the few went with manual.

There are 3083 manual 550s (all 550s are manual), so a lot more than DBS manuals. For the 575 there were around 10% manual so around 200.
I own a 550, its a joy to drive and almost as fast as a V12V eventhough its 10 years older.

When I picked up my first AM 4 years ago, Stratstone had a DB5 in and it was around the 160k mark, the DB5 rise is mental

Could I trouble you for your thoughts on this one please? Is it in the right ballpark price-wise being a late model/carbon edition, anything obvious to look for/ask when viewing?

Thanks
