Bamford Rose here we go!

Took my S to BR on Monday. Adrian convinced me that I did not need to upgrade the clutch and flywheel just yet. Manifolds and exhaust are the order of the day! The car will be dynode before and after so I will keep you posted as to the outcome.
I was surprised and pleased by Adrians honesty.
Should be picking her up on Saturday , can hardly wait!

Good work!
video clip needed so we can tell the sound difference as well!
Funny you should mention video - I've been meaning to post this on. As you probably heard, we recently went on Petrolhead Nirvana's Alpine Tour and had a great time. There were 15 cars and only 2 of them were Aston Martins. One of the Porsche owners posted this up on the Petrolhead Nirvana site and we thought it was brilliant! It is an amateur video and is not an advert for the tour but Rob and his car are both featured. video clip needed so we can tell the sound difference as well!
"I have put together a little movie trailer type clip using iMovie on the Apple Mac, it's only 59 seconds long so don't expect too much and if you load it first and then watch it, it works better.
Basically press play then pause till the whole clip is loaded then play it in one go.
Hope you enjoy it"

I know you've been wondering why BR advised me that I don't need to upgrade the clutch and flywheel while the S is in for the exhaust power upgrade so ......
According to Mike, although the single plate clutch in the S is the same as fitted to the previous Vantage, because the S has more evolved technology such as hill assist and better clutch control calibration, the end result is elimination of 'error states' that in the previous vantage allowed excessive slip which in turn burns out the friction plate resulting in premature failure.
Mike said that the S clutch should last much longer than in previous vantage models meaning that I would be removing my clutch now and not really seeing a long term benefit for my investment as my current clutch should still have plenty of life left in it.
A quick update, Mike has done a before dyno run on the car. The results are as follows..422 BHP @ 7100 RPM and 455 Nm @ 5300 RPM. I am really pleased that she is knocking out about what AM claim. Mike has explained that the exhaust is very restrictive to comply with CO2 rules. As soon as I have the post dyno runs I will forward them. Also I had no idea how important clutch learn is , I think I might be talking about switchable suspension next!!
Really really looking forward to Saturday and collecting our Aston. Paddy is also going to work his particular brand of magic for me!
