What, in the back seat?

I'm 6'3" and fit ok. Only issues are my hair getting blown back when I have the roof down, and the front seat touches the back, therefore making it a 3 seater car.

I don't believe there's significantly more room in the front of a DB9 than a V8V. May even be a tad less.
There's a little more room for the driver in a Vantage, speaking as one who moved from DB9 to V12V. The Vantage definitely has more headroom.

Have you tried a car with the Lightweight seats ? My car has them and they seem to go back further than the standard sports seats in my previous Vantage.

Blimey there as big lads on this forum! I'm surprised the OP does fit even with long legs, my advice would be to re- visit the dealer and spend some time playing with seat AND steering wheel adjustment, I'm confident you'll find a good position eventually as A.M. driving position/ flexibility is excellent compared to other cars in the same class.

Have you thought have trying different shoes? Sounds silly but I'm 6'3" and if I wear my trainers I find it a bit uncomfortable. Work or driving shoes however give me just that little bit more room!

According to the collective wisdom of the postings above, I, being only 5'9" and 80kg, should have massive amounts of space behind my seat to move even farther back. Nothing could be further from the truth. I run my seat all the way back until it barely touches the rear seat cushion, and even then I'd move it farther back if I could.

In my entire driving life, I only ever had one car (and this includes SUVs) where the driver's seat did not have to be in its most rearward position. It was in a Scion/Toyota xB. The point being, of course, they are your legs and no one else's.

My knees are bent to the extent that they're much too close to the steering wheel. Headroom's OK.

This is probably key, though as you note later there are very few cars where this isn't the case and being that size you get very used to it. Just being able to physically fit is a bonus.

That said, I've toured in the Aston doing 500+ miles in a day and it's been fine comfort wise. As long as there's space for my knuckles to pass my knees when turning the steering wheel, then I fit smile

The only car I've had where there's been a true surplus of space is the Griff.

Having had a 4.3 with chubby fully adjustable seats and a V12V with lightweight seats; I am sure the later goes back further and as I am 6ft I am sure that there is at least a couple more inches to be had over the normal seats for the taller gentleman.

And IMHO these light weight seats are oddly way more comfortable, so its not a compromise, you'll have more leg room, less car weight and its very comfortable.

There is at least one thread covering seat comfort and whilst all don't agree I think the vast majority that have driven both think the lightweight seat is superior. In the old 4.3, the seat gave me back ache and no position seemed to get rid of it. No such problem in the V12V.

I find that I sit a little more forward than I might have normally choose to make pressing the clutch to the bottom easier as a less than complete press can leave you feeling a very slight crunch as 1st and 2nd engage when cold. However if driving in a spirited fashion being a bit closer feels right.

I set up the set memory so that I have position 1 for cold and or engaging driving and position 3 takes me further back for motorway driving.

That's why I ended up buying a second Griff. Thanks for all the comments, I will go back, try again and also see if I can find a car with sports seats.

The sports seats are the standard seats - i.e. the ones you have already tried. What you need to be looking for is a car with the lightweight (bucket) carbonfibre seats.

As others have said you should fit in the sports seats anyway if properly adjusted.
