I've already bookmarked this topic.....just waiting on reports back as to how they are when driven.

Do they wear out quickly? Do they catch fire?

So far so good, and cautiously optimistic smile

Only done a few hundred miles on the new rear pads, but so far so good. Have gone ahead and ordered the front pads as well to change soon.

It'll be easier to tell if the compound is any good on the front.

Wow. I paid almost £250 for rear pads from AM less than a year ago! Fitting was another c.£100 on top of that.

Ordered. Front and rear!

Would anyone know if the wear sensors shown on euro car parts come in pairs for £28, or will I need to order 4 x the £28 (if required) ?

It says on ECP that the sensor is Pagid but I'm not sure or not if that's OE, I got mine directly from AM. It is worth pointing out that the front/rear sensors are different though and I think on ECP they only listed the rears. Usually they are listed individually so you'll need 2 per side. The Aston part numbers you need are:

4G43-2L507-AB for front
6G33-2D009-AB for the rear

Regardless of how cheap you can get the OEM Brembo/Pagid stock AM pads, you couldn't pay me to to put those noisy and super-dusty pads back on my car. In fact, it was the first thing I replaced on my car as soon as I bought it. Porterfield pads are much better and just as inexpensive. I have been using them on my Esprit for 15 years and now 2 years on my Vantage.

Just a quick update to this:

I had my car serviced & MOT'd at Stratton Motor Company yesterday. I was advised that the front pads were getting very close to the wear sensors (60% wear).

The price from AM for a new set of pads is £255+VAT (so £306). Eurocarparts are charging £210 (inc VAT) although if you include their current discount code (MIDMONTH25), this price comes down to £157.50 (inc VAT and free home delivery).

No prizes for guessing where I bought them from... biggrin

i was quoted £549 inc vat and fitting for rear pads last week. Bought a set of Pagids for £142.80 free delivery and 3% cashback with Quidco = £138.52 happy with that :-)
