So I've heard that 12 month cygnet with nominal millage can be bought from dealers for sub 20k.......if in 12 months time they were sub 15k would anybody be tempted........they kind of make sense for London ........and don't bite my head off for my evil thoughts......I can't help it, it's the way I am !

As they are proposing to morph the DB9 and Virage.....wouldn't it make sense to gradually morph the Cygnet and V8V too ??

Just thinking out loud smile

The problem is with the Cygnet is that people would assume that you are driving it because you can't afford a real Aston Martin. You would have to put a sticker on it like the ones that read "My other car is a Porsche". Except in this case it would read "My other car is also an Aston Martin".

I've always said I'd have one at sub £20k smile trouble is I think it's manuals only at the moment. Don't really care if other people think I can't afford a 'real one' I just like the size and luxury interior, would replace my Smart Brabus.

Well don't smile

(tbh if you had one sprayed light blue it would more suit you DB9 oldsters as a main car I'd have thought...and the special parking at Tescos would be a bonus for you).

Michael - great deal. What you're saying is you can buy a year old, uglier, less eco-friendly version of a brand new Toyota for 2x the amount. I can't think why they aren't beating people off with a stty stick (as opposed to hitting their cars with the ugly one).

Cygnets are for people who think draping yourself head to foot in Louis Vuitton is the ultimate demonstration that you have style and wealth. As soon as they get to 3k every Burberry/Bench clad chavette in the land will be bezzing about in one.

i think I agree with all the points you made.........but I do find it interesting (not supprised)that the cygnet has lost so much money so quickly

I think it looks more like the freebie thrown in you get when you buy a real AM smile

If it was faster I'd have one for £20k. I can get a decent hot hatch for that price though and being faster is more use to me than a nice place to sit on my daily commute.

What a miserable and bitter pair you two sound like confused

You don't like it? Fine. You want to tell people you don't like it? Fine again. To 'label' derogatorily everyone who will/may want one tells me more about you.

Of course I may be wrong...

I'm with you on this one. If you want a car of that size with a luxury interior its really the only option.

Great fun but doesn't come close with the interior imo. I think the closest is the Audi A1, but with loads of options like the fancy leather interior.
