Did the mods affect emissions?
Why would anyone care? Don't buy an Aston in the first place if emissions are a worry. It is very easy to mod a car, over look this and end up having to put stuff back to pass an MOT.

I'm guessing Scott is aluding to the MOT emission tests

We have annual emission tests that must be passed or the car can't be driven. I'm keenly interested in the V12V upgrades but need to make sure the car clears the emission Nazi's here in the USA. It is very easy to mod a car, over look this and end up having to put stuff back to pass an MOT.
I wish BR had an arm here. I'm hoping someone like RSC can do the same. Sounds like a brilliant bit of work.
Mike, John,
Time to stop referring to Lance/Armstrong (Armstrong is a crap name anyway for an exhaust system imho)

There is a fear that you may be stripped of being able to refer to your automobile as "A Proper Aston" on the grounds of unfair mechanical (thermodynamic) advantage which is against gentlemens rule of motoring!

Maybe one should be Lance and the other Ben (as in Ben Johnson) or another famous cheat...?
'Armstrong' was the first man on the moon (and is now RIP).
I was thinking after my ex-wife. 'Armstrong' was the first man on the moon (and is now RIP).
She started off cute and tame but ended up loud, blowy, a lot of torque and costing me.

Rich (CatalystV12V) calls his Daisy - even has DSY in the plate.
But he drives like Miss Daisy Lets be honest, you did not even make the same train back as me and Tony and we drove slowly. Now I guess you are going to mention some old rubbish about a flat, excuses, excuses!!

Hi John.... You know I don't like to push it over 50.... Especially when there's a nail in the offside rear... Besides I get better fuel economy the slower I go Lets be honest, you did not even make the same train back as me and Tony and we drove slowly. Hi jong39 o(r any one who knows how he got on), do you still have your V12V and are you still happy that you really did see a significant performance advantage. Where there any reliability issues.
A while ago I upgraded a 4.3 and it was said (had before and after dyno) at the time I got over 40bhp extra power, but after a while I realised that it wasn't really faster, it just sounded better.
After 3 years I changed to a 4.7 and it was noticeably better, more torque and power, more importantly it was a real improvement.
The upgrade I had on the 4.3 was Larrini cats, silencer and ECU upgrade. I also added the same system (but not the ECU upgrade) to my 4.7, I didn't expect any more power but I missed the sound.
After a few years I still wanted more power and changed to a V12 and now I find I'm back at looking for an upgrade, but worried that there won't really be a benefit, just more noise.
Thanks

Not a V12V but my DB9 was recently enhanced by Bamford Rose under Project 'Blofeld'. As a standard 2007 DB9 the 'list' bhp is 450. After extensive enhancements and latest Dyno it is now reaching 517bhp.
Search the forum for 'Blofeld' and you will get more information or PM me.
