Personally Rib I'd have stuck with duller bulbs so you can't see those mats! smile
Indeed - the bulbs looks great, the mats however DON'T! Where did you buy those? Poundland??? tongue out
biggrin haha yeah I should have remembered to take those things out before I took the picture! I put them in sometimes to keep the carpets clean.

Sorry to be obtuse, but as a newish owner, also singularly unimpressed with the yellow glow from the interior lights.

However, according to the book, these are 3 watt W3W and I can only locate 5 watt leds.

Did you use 3 or 5 please and if the latter, can you confirm no faults / issues?

Many thanks

Hello! Yes I used 5w ones and no problems at all. I bought these ones:

Funnily enough I did mine today as well.
gpb1 - how did you get the bezels off at the top middle of the windscreen? What tool did you use. I've had a prod at them, but can see me breaking something.

Pull them down with your fingers if not lever them with a flat screwdriver to start. There a push fit.

what he said ^
the front ones were easy, but in the DB9 you have to take the rear seats out to do the ones in the rear pillars successfully (not a problem in the V8V i know). Before i found that out i thought I'd need to visit a dealer as i feared i had lost the bulb holder into the bowels of the car. Add it turned out once the rear seats were removed (a 2 minute job) you can get your hands up into the pillar easily.

Just thought I'd mention that I've now joined the LED club! Took me a few attempts due to lack of time, light (underground car park at night is probably not the best location for this), and not wanting to take any undue risks of hacking out something I shouldn't.

To add a bit to the tips that have already been posted, here's what I did (V8V):
"Map reading" lights - each circular light fitting came out with a bit of gentle persuasion from spatula/fingertips/flathead screwdriver (contrary to some posts I read, the whole housing doesn't have to be opened up). Make a note of the orientation so you know how to push it back in again. Twist the top to separate the lightbulb holder from the housing. The bulb can just be pulled out and the new one pushed in to replace it. But test it works before you put everything back together as the bulb can be pushed in the wrong way.

Footwell lights - again, used fingertips/screwdriver head to prise the light fitting out. Then, the really fiddly bit, reach around the top of the fitting and twist it and eventually the housing came off. Couldn't really see what I was doing so had to feel around and fiddle until I got the right bit. Once the new bulb was in (and working) I pushed the whole housing back in place before feeling around and twisting the bits back together.

And in case it hasn't been mentioned here, the old style bulbs will be hot if they've just been on so be careful when you're pulling them out!

Pics (although they've come out a bit blue even though they're actually white)...
