knob...I actually wanted to know if they took euros
What I did find out out is that nowhere in a 40 mile radius keeps swiss francs in stock - all 'to order' for Tuesday which is wayyyyyyy too late.
Some place do but at crap exchange rateWhat I did find out out is that nowhere in a 40 mile radius keeps swiss francs in stock - all 'to order' for Tuesday which is wayyyyyyy too late.
Better off getting some CHF's or using a credit card.
Steve, Tony (lottery winner) will be there early also, I don't expect much of a rush hour during the school holidays either..... could be wrong.
Nick is stopping of in a lay-by around 7pm tonight. No idea why as I am meeting him later than that so we are aiming for around 8.00pm at the secret meeting place (AKA the bar)
@Jonby, I guess we will all meet at the Eurotunnel around 6.00am, I think that we are all on the same train. Do you have routes and / or radio's????

I'll be arriving in Folkestone after 10pm tonight, can't get my passenger away from his wife and kid any earlier
As for the morning, I intend to get to the Chunnel with enough time to spare for a BIG fry-up.
As to assembling... In my opinion we are too many cars really to travel in a fixed convoy, we will all be split driving through Calais which is why everyone should ensure they know where they are going! Our best bet might to assemble at the first motorway services on the A26 once we have cleared the town, very easy to do autoroute miles in a big group. Bear in mind a long queue of Astons WILL attract the attention of Le Plod. Keep your eyes peeled and the cruise control set at 83mph
Please make sure tanks are brimmed on the UK side so we can get some miles done first thing, from experience it's nice to stop every hour and a half / 100 miles or so if all agree? Should be plenty of radios so people can request a stop if needed - when you need to go, you need to go! A quick pit stop adds 10-15mins, it really is no big deal but we don't want to do that every 30mins.

^^^^ What he said.
We just need to make sure we head out of Calais to the autoroute and then stop at the first service stop where we can re-group and set off in smaller groups - perhaps three groups of 6 and one of eight. If anyone isn't staying in Folkestone then you should aim to be at the Eurotunnel by 6:00am. Look out for clusters of Astons and you'll very likely find us
I will be arriving in Folkestone around 9:30pm and am looking forward to seeing you all and to the trip. to bring together some previous comments, it will be an Epic Blast!
PS. Not what Nick said - what Yeti said!!!!

Great, I'll see you around 8 in the Secret Meeting Place then. Though bars and 6am starts aren't a great match Nick is stopping of in a lay-by around 7pm tonight. No idea why as I am meeting him later than that so we are aiming for around 8.00pm at the secret meeting place (AKA the bar)

Greetings from Beaune!
My wife and I have formed the advance party, and am looking forward to seeing he massed ranks of Astons tomorrow in the centre of Beaune.
Unfortunately the weather is a bit grey and damp, but what the hell.
Drinking Burgundy and talking Astons should more than make up for it.
Looking forward to putting some faces to the names and cars.
See you all tomorrow.

Sunny here again today so I hope it follows us south. Supposed to be raining this evening and tomorrow morning though
