Stop every 100 miles, holy overkill Batman. Why not stop when the DB9 Volantes run out of fuel? about 2 - 2.5 hours (150 miles) or so?
Knock yourself out yes

I'll be stopping when/if I need to.

Race? Are you sure? Well firstly everyone else can chase the Bamford Rose cars & secondly they can watch with envy as we (the BR specials) sail past the petrol stations as we now have improved fuel economy too!

See you all tonight/tomorrow - we are off any minute now.

Fighting talk, Rob !!

I would get used to seeing Luna's lipstick close up in your rearview mirror....and he doesn't have any BR Mods wink

Mikey K couldn't lose him.....maybe only Cockers could give it a go....driver skill beats BR Mods any day yes

That makes no sense... what about Cockers in a std V12V coupe Vs cockers in BR V12V coupe? wink

We change and modify our cars because we want to go faster and enjoy the car more regardless of ability starting from. Not sure what you have against the process..?

Sorry, typed on the move mon frere bleu!!

Point is, BR can make your car accelerate faster, stop better, turn better and sound better. They can't make you a better driver, but they can help you make the most of what you have smile

And the fastest driver on an unfamiliar public road is the one most willing to take unnecessary risks to prove nothing. I'll not be driving any differently to how I normally do, a modified car has nothing to do with it, just helps me enjoy the thrill of driving a lot more as I have a better tool to work with.

The BIG difference between this and for example a Petrolhead Nirvana trip is that we don't know the roads! Going silly buggers everywhere will see someone off the edge of a cliff... It won't be me frown

+1

We've met most of those on this tour and - Cockers aside - I have to say they come across as a competent bunch of drivers who know when to back off the throttle.

Here's to a safe AND enjoyable trip beer

I'll drink to that.
In fact that's all I'll be left to do. Something tells me, other than the gloating pictures and diatribe from Geneva it's gonna be real quiet on here until next week.
Then I think I'll start drinking even more heavily.

Don't agree with that bit to be honest. If you're at Jockman level, extracting say 25% of the performance from the car, then when it's tuned you will be extracting say 20% at the same level.

I was going to upgrade the suspension to full Ohlins with upside down forks and a fully adjustable rear shock on my CBR, along with having the engine rebuilt and blueprinted. Then I saw a bloke who I know, who races, doing a session on an almost identical bike to mine (i.e. fairly standard). He was lapping about 25 seconds faster than me around Cadwell in the wet. This just made me realise there's no point in upgrading anything until I can extract everything possible from the standard stuff. Just my view of it all anyway smile
