Having followed your search for several months, its really good to see you found one, and the spec does look really good. I remember that car (or one with identical spec) from when I was looking for a new one a couple of years ago, and I've managed to find the original spec sheet from Stratstone Wilmslow, does this look familiar?

What a cracking spec and sounds like you've got a great deal. Congratulations and hats off for holding out for so long for the right car.

Hi chaps - appreciate all the comments - thanks Grant - book was invaluable in my search - very thorough. Michael - that is the spec exactly although i'm certain it's a 2010MY car and not an 2011MY? I checked the VIN and the 10th value along is an A. Tony - I noticed you can get the sill plaques. Wouldn't mind changing them at some point, any different colours other than the standard silver?

Very similar to mine!
Mine was registered in May 2010 but is a MY2011 car, so your's may be too. Not sure, but I think the hands-free mic in the roof above the driver and TMC on the sat nav only came in on MY2011.

The covering email from Stratstone said that the only difference between MY10 and MY11 was the prices increased, so it wouldn't surprise me if the MY was quoted wrongly.

Another way of telling them apart is the ignition on message. On MY10 or earlier I believe it was "Power, Beauty, Soul" which changed on MY11 to "Pure, Aston, Martin"

I was thinking a blue/steely finish, something that matches the exterior color or thereabouts. I cant actually remember the sills inside the car but will have a look tomorrow when i go pick it up

Car looks great, only one more "sleep" to go before you pick up your car.
I asked my GF to pinch me when I got out of my Porsche for the last time and walked in to pick up the Vantage.

Aww, it's sweet I remember viewing the DB9 I was going to buy and not being able to quite believe anything inanimate could be that beautiful. Then picking it up and thinking the same thing. I still think the same when walking into the car park where it lives. Ny next door neighbour has a black 993 Targa which is a pretty car in itself... it just disappears next the DB9 though

Yeti: I've only just read your profile - you have EIGHT cars???? How on earth do you manage to get round to driving all those? I struggle with 2!

Not long now, I bet you are more giddy than a 5 year old on Christmas morning? The weekend before I picked my 9 up I was so on edge, I was tense, nervous, excited. I almost literally couldn't wait, calling the dealer to see if I could have it now.... And I was trading in another Aston!. I have never felt such excitement for an object. For weeks I would look of the window just to see it on the drive. I hope it turns out to be as fulfilling for you as you expected (deserve) after such a long search. BTW, why not come and show it off and have a run out with us on the 20/21 of this month?. It's a great way to meet some of the contributors to this forum
