After one or two glasses of wine on Saturday night Molly and I shook hands having decided to take part in the Alpine South tour next September with Petrol Head Nirvana. As you know we have already been on the Alpine North. If any of you are interested take a look at their website. I would sum the tour up by saying that it was without doubt the most exciting week of my life. It would be nice to have a few more Astons along to offset all the 911's. Fantastic organisation ,great crowd of people mindblowing scenery and sensational roads. You and your cars will love it.

I was expecting the cost to be loads, in a gumball / cannon ball type way.........but this is tempting. A week is quite a while though, 4 days would be perfect.

We did Alpine South this year and had a fantastic time, so good, we've signed up for the Norwegian tour in 2013! These tours are fantastically well organised and cover some brilliant roads.

Molly and I are at deposit paid stage. Alpine South here we come. Only 10 months to go. Hopefully will have the induction mods done by then. 15 to 20 extra ponies I believe.
The tour looks fantastic.

Ironically the PHN Southern Alps route looks like an abridged version of the French Loop we did a few months ago.
I want to stay in the Alps for the whole of our next trip and feed my passes addication laugh
I done Stelvio, Mont Ventoux, Milau etc too many times now

Ho Hum Mikey, with the PHN lot the scenery might be a little blurred. It would be great if you were to join us cos the tour was is fantastic. I guarantee squeaks and rattles would be the last thing on your mind. I am almost prepared to offer a money back guarantee.

Jockman being at the front is probably the scariest place to be. That statement needs a bit of explaining.
Yeti is that your best excuse for not joining us? Could be the ultimate honeymoon for you both.

If anyone doesn't know what the heck we are on about here's the thread from this summer when we came back from Alpine North.

Next year we are booked on Alpine South in September.

If it looks like too much hassle to read the thread just click on the Vimeo video link near the start - that one mini film does a great job of summing up the whole experience!

I fancy doing something like this, depends on what mentally deranged holidays will be scheduled next year by my good lady and whether I have enough holiday left over whistle

Antarctica beckons on Monday next week biggrin

Morning John,

So your wife keeps booking mad holidays, ask her to book you both on Alpine South. I guarantee holidays don't get much madder.

OK, we are convinced , it sounds like great fun and just want to have a great trip. Our deposit is paid and Peter tells me that there are now three V8V S's on the trip and our friends, also with an S, had said they will join us too. Many thanks to RobGT and Molly for your encouragement, no pressure! Thanks a lot.
