Wow, just wow. I don't think I've ever seen better pictures of a V8V. Congratulations on a fantastic purchase!

Take it to northern Spain, they go completely bonkers! The comments, looks are always an added bonus on any trip!
Hopefully some dry weather leading up to Christmas!

Well im starting to feel a little bit of bitter jelousy, especially from a few staff members at work that are making things very uncomfortable.

That's their problem.... Not yoursmad..... Sad tts, probably spend all their money on booze, fags, and crap nights out, and then resent someone who's saved for somthing specialrolleyes

i got consent to park onsite before i bought the car, as its a bit of a rough area and we have had nice cars stolen before.

so i park on site today and people are moaning, i just hope my boss sticks by what he said and not say i cant park on site any more, else yeah i give it less than a day before its keyed or stolen

Its the haves and have nots sadly. I see a nice car, nice house and say "I'll get that one day" (and conjure up some sort of plan), others just see it and assume rich parents, inheritance, rich partner etc.

Lovely photos. Hope your boss says its fine! smile

im just not mentioning it, as far as i am concerned i have asked the appropriate person for permission and it was granted. end of.

just upsetting that peopple can be so bhy over something.

I dont make comments when some people decide to pop out a few kids, because they are expensive they must be being paid too much!

Hi Laura, the bit of grief thing you are experiencing at work is par for the course. Handling it needs some care. People can be so fickle. I have ongoing problems at my local pub with mine. I chose never to take it there but I do have to drive by. Being nice to people won't work. The plus side is that wherever you go with your beautiful car I guarantee you will receive a fabulous response, vehicles on the motorways will wave at you. For me the magic of owning an Ason Martin never seems to wear off, I am sure you will feel the same. So do not let the narrow minded get you down!
I look forward to meeting you both.
P.S You could always fit a Bamford Rose exhaust , that will wind them up no end. Works for me.

Sorry to pry here but i'm assuming you just mean "comments" about the car down the local pub?

I had some young chap video me getting into the car yesterday and drive off (probably normal!). Never had this before.

Well done you. It is difficult when friends and colleagues form wrong opinions about a person because of something they have purchased. All you can do it rise above it and take pride in what you have, rest easy in the knolwedge that you worked hard to get it and enjoy those moments when people walk up to you and say 'lovely car'. Happened to me a few times now, mainly when filling up at the garage (which I do a LOT!).

As for the rest scensoredd 'em smile

Where in the country are you? Be good to see the Toro beast at some get together. Better still, there is a lovely trip to Geneva next year biggrin

im based in cheshire.

its not the mean comments or the bhy wispers per say. its the fact that if enough people cause a scene then i will be told i cant park on site, which then leaves me parking on the road where cars have been stolen, broken into and vandalised before.

at this moment i do not have another car i can use on a daily basis.

Oh, sounds bad. I can't think why people being bhy would mean you are told not to park on-site. Doesn't sound like a fair policy - postiviely discriminatory really.

Maybe worth getting a beater for driving to work. I park at a station many days so I use a 1994 Fiat Punto worth about £500 and park it anywhere I like. Maybe not go that far down scale but only you know if the hassle is worth it, or perhaps keep the Toro beast for evening and weekends and use a beater for daily commuting.

+1. Welcome Laura, lovely car and phots. As for the jealousy, it's very dissapointing isn't it? I would, however, be very surprised if your Boss feels he's got grounds to kick you out of the car park based on it. If he does, let me know, I know some people, they dress in dark clothing a lot of the time..... And before mods/the police get hold of this....that was NOT a threat of murder!!rolleyes
