I have no preference where we go and am happy to tag along anywhere.

Personally I would prefer a decent drive finishing off somewhere to visit - pub for a drink/lunch? or at one the venues mentioned as those who have a way to travel or don't want to stay all day can get going while the others visit.

I don't know any of the roads around Gaydon or Cosford but if someone knows the area and can recommend somewhere. Alternatively, if we start from Donnington there are some good routes via Ashbourne to Buxton and over the peak district.

I do indeed. In fact, I've flown over most of the county today as it happens (And yes Nick, it is work....kind of) I still think we should RV at the pub in Rugby, do a quick hours blast then go back there and get leathered....but that's just me being selfish!

On a slightly more serious note, the Peaks are likely to be the best option if Shropshire is a little too far for most - the only drawback being that it's even further for the Southern Shandy drinking puftas to travel. Hopefully somebody must know some decent roads around the Gaydon area, in which case that would probably suit most.

I think you're probably right, my bar fitness is at an all time low at the moment! That said, I'm still trying to wangle my way down to the D&D on the 18th, but am getting a bit scared by the potential beer bullies....
