I've just renewed with Locktons, about £1000 for 7500 miles, including some business use. I'm late 30s, and the car is on a drive in a not-terribly-salubrious part of London.

Im early 30s and i was offered just over £500 from Admiral multicar. I didnt go with them, i actually chose Locktons for approx £900 due to the extra cover items, perks, agreed value, etc.. that this specialist policy offers. I might reconsider next year depending on how much of a reduction i get on renewal from Locktons?
Both companies would cover me for drive, garage, lock up etc.. they didnt really care where i parked it and it made no difference to the figure?!

I took the Institute of Advanced Motorists test and that had a dramatic effect on my insurance renewal. I pay £500 a year for a new (2012) V8V. That's with Sun Life thro the IAM Surety insurance. If you want the nuts and bolts of what taking the test involves then please send me a PM. It might be all down to age but could be worth checking out.

Not sure if this helps you, but i insure everything through the nfu....560 myself and another named driver, both over 50.... With a Three hundred and fifty pound excess.
And 50% N,C.B. interestingly about 60 pounds more than the range rover. i know the nfu are not the cheapest around, but i can not fault them for there service and paying out claims and such.
