The bad news is, you lot will have to put up with me for longer biggrin

The good news is, all going well, I'll be collecting this next Saturday:

OK, so - originally I was going to spend £35k on a car, then I spent £20 on grants book and erm, well that wasn't enough.

I wanted Tungsten.... I failed
I wanted Iron Ore.... I failed
I wanted a none all black interior.... definitely not failed here, I appreciate it will be absolute marmite to some:

I am currently not trying to think about it as time will stop!

Lovely car and what a change to see an inviting interior for a change!

Lightning Silver for sure, looks great with those wheels and especially the red callipers, nice touch.

Stunning car, enjoy.

Interior looks great! Especially the seats, it definitly works. I wish I had gone for something more inspiring than grey.

That's how it goes!
You start out with a wish list and a budget.
Then you see "the" car and they go out the window laugh
Lightning Silver is a great colour
Nice choice on the interior as well

I'm glad it wasn't just me!

Love the colour combination OP. Is it Chancellor red interior?

Lovely looking car - your interior is the opposite to mine by the looks of it - mine is black with chancellor inserts.

Nicely done smile

Looks lovely. Never been a fan of those wheels, but it does look gorgeous.

Personally I like the MY2009 to MY2011 standard suspension wheels, for these reasons.

With the 'understated' aspect associated with Aston Martin design, having many wheel spokes does act to partly conceal the brake components. They provide only a subtle glimpse of the enormous brake discs, and if owners wish to continue the understatement, silver calipers will match the wheels.

Cleaning 20 spoke wheels is very time consuming though, but if you do have time, it does offer an opportunity to lie down in the garage, beside your P & J (the car I mean).

Customers' different preferences, must be a nightmare for AML, when deciding specifications.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Yeti - I knew you'd be a fan of a none standard interior wink. I really wanted the iron ore but it seemed a popular choice on the 4.3's, less so in later models.

Aston should be giving Grant commission, after reading the book - I simply had to have the new less fussy dash along with the 4.7.

George - I probably shouldn't have spent an extra £15k over what I was planning on but the larger picture says my company is doing well, I'm putting nothing at risk - it is purely a mental barrier, I have no kids or a g/f to consider, my best friend is getting married in Italy next year, we're (brother and myself) road tripping it over, so sod it! (Also man maths said a 4.7 would hold its value better......)

Paddy - I'm not made up either way on the wheels.... I quite like the sports pack option so I may keep my eye out, probably not. I might well be in touch regarding getting the car winter protected. I want to get the underside waxoiled asap.

Saturday seems a long long way off.... smile

I should add, a huge thanks to this great forum and group of people. I'd never have found Grants book or believed Aston had such a knowledgeable and friendly group of people.
