Manual 06 plate 20,000 miles just replaced the clutch and slave cylinder. Clutch wasn't slipping but sometimes would not go in gear not much fun getting out of the garage but fixed now. I blame the previous ownershoot

Why do you blame the previous owner ? What did he do ?

MY15 Manual Vantage GT with ~7500 miles. So far, so good however I was required to reverse from an extremely steep driveway once. Not fun for me or the clutch! Not an odor I'll ever like or get used to!frown

To update the clutch thread, my OE clutch from December 2005 build date lasted 73K miles and was replaced last year in 2015. Car sold at 80k miles so it should last the new owner a while.....

You mean girls can use a clutch and hand brake properly too ? ...actually my other half would agree smile

I would be interested to know what symptoms, any and all, for sportshift 1 were felt before the clutch died. I know one day it can be good the next not even work. But surely there are symptoms to look for?
