First drive of 2013

Opened the garage doors, there she was gleaming. Should be because I had polished it 3 times and not been out in it. Then went through the starting procedure of foot flat to the floor a couple of times , oil light goes out after the first attempt . Kept my foot on the brake till I hear that little click which means the clutch is optimised. The latter is slightly difficult because of the SOUND! Thanks Bamford Rose. My God I sat there thinking ." Sounds like a refugee from a Nascar Race."
Burbled off down our lane. It just felt so good to be out in my pride and joy again. Drove into Hereford not feeling arrogant just great waves of pride. I had forgotten the reaction you get from people. I am sure no other brand can deliver the emotion that an Aston Martin delivers . A lorry with a trailer let me pull out of a petrol station amid waving and sounding of air horns. Some chap pulled alongside me and shouted out " I bet you have a permanent grin driving that thing" I shouted back that I was a lucky old bd.
Amanda and I are so looking forward to our many (cos there will be many) drives out this year.
To the many people who read these posts who are not sure whether to buy the Jag, 911, or whatever; I am sure that in some respects there are in some ways superior vehicles out there . My answer will always be that you simply won't get the whole package! Owning an Aston Martin is the real deal.

Had a great run out today chaps. There is simply nothing better, and that's from a paltry V8 driver! Hopefull we can get together soon, I think I need to experience the V12 noise!! Mines in for a service and respray Monday, so I need to make the most of it before it goes into surgery!

Drove mine to the recycling centre to get rid of a boot full of cardboard......poshest car at the skips
Ah, but were you dressed 'poshest'?I once parked next to Gloria Hunniford at the Sevenoaks tip. She was dressed as per the TV studio. I do not know whether her white jacket was still clean, after throwing away the rubbish.
Sorry to have to mention white, Luna.
Yep. Out in the Aston for lunch today, some good roads around here, guy in pub car park moved his car to give me more space to park, you wouldn't get that with many other cars. Hoping for good weather tomorrow - not for driving just for cleaning. Waiting for warmer weather for polishing so the Swissvax is a bit easier to apply.
