Driving with the sport button

I think the Sports button only changes the set up of the gear box, I think it tells you that it changes the set up of the accelerator, but I have not seen that at all. I do feel how it changes the gear box though.
Yes it will increase your fuel consumption because it will hold it in lower gears longer, however, you need to look at it logically. Your consumption is something around 15mpg? using the sports button may take it down to 14mpg ....... so what ..?
At the end of the day, if you enjoy driving with the sports button and it makes you feel good, just keep on doing it .....!

I always thought it was a pretty pointless button, it's always the 2nd thing I press when I get in the the car (the 1st being the start button). It would make much more sense to have the sport setting as standard and an economy button for those that miss the point of having an Aston

That is because your power to weight ratio has altered Steve.ie. you've crapped yourself.
