It doesn't. Dealer may use factory discount on V12V stock cars to build up a 0% finance deal I understand but nothing on R.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster
The most powerful Aston Martin engine, the most lightweight sports car, combine them. You have the V12 Vantage Roadster, the ultimate sports car. Owning an Aston Martin V12 is closer than you think, £5,000 dealer deposit contribution, 24 months 0% APR and £999 a month. Stratstone can tailor funding options to suit your requirements.

Perhaps the 'subject to availability' may be the key to it??
I hope so Graham. I still find it astonishing that such a stunning car has failed to sell out in its entirety. I suppose because of the stupid discounting on new cars it just puts people off. Even on something soooo rareAdamV12V said:

When I saw that I was about to give them a call... then realised I don't have the 60 grand deposit. No deposit and a grand a month interest free... I'd do that
Yeah the finance deal made me chuckle too.... Headline: Interest Free! - ONLY £999 per month for 24months!
Smallprint: Oh, and did we mention the £60k deposit and the £65k ballon payment at the end!

Even on something soooo rareThey can show whatever offers they want but I do wonder if they have any cars they can source or whether it is just to draw you in with a view to persuading you to buy some other model with a tasty big discount. I am not sure a £5k discount would do it for me because part of the pleasure of buying the car was to get it to my spec.
Agree with Graham that it is stupidity really - come the Spring they will all be gone. As for residuals it doesn't really matter unless you want to sell and of the 5 V12VR owners that I know none are short termers.

You are forgetting the finance offers as well. Its fairly recent HWM have offered finance - they always asumed if you lived in that locality you were far too rich to bother with finance.
They were offering finance in 2007...Problem with these "deals" is that they are inevitably only on list prices. Which doesn't make them massively attractive at all.
As for the V12VR, are they genuinely that scarce? I doubt it myself...
I think the 60k deposit bit is meant to represent your current car as trade in.
The adverts seem targetted at current owners and is probably just an attempt to make them upgrade.
If your current car is worth less than 60k then no problem, they just adjust the monthly premium.
It's merely a spreadsheet with a bit of colour

Agree 100%, but I have never taken finance on a car and hope never to. Continuously paying for a depreciating asset would hurt, whereas once its bought, it disappears into another reality... Simple man-maths, we're all different I'd consider finance for an E-Type though, unlikely to drop

It depends how patient you are. Do you buy the car now and pay a little bit more, or do you save up for a few years first. I'm very impatient. Plus you could argue all the money you spend on modifying could be considered a waste if you ever planed on selling - I.e the cost of the mods wouldn't be reflected in the sales price

Yeah I'd like a brand new Aston for two years for £24k too Your car plus an affordable balance
£1k a month for 24 months
Then a large balloon that will encourage to take the next deal at the time PXing the car rather than pay it

Yes, BUT - with a £65k outstanding balance you will probably find yourself with no equity and therefore no deposit for the next deal! Your car plus an affordable balance
£1k a month for 24 months
Then a large balloon that will encourage to take the next deal at the time PXing the car rather than pay it

I must admit... had my DB9 not been the car it is with the upcoming work it is having, I would probably go for it, asuming they would give me 50k or so trade in (probably more like 35k though). The 24 montrhs I would then spend saving for the balloon payment. Your car plus an affordable balance

As you say, clever deal as many of us have a car worth 60k or close to... For that money I would want to spec the car though... California Sage or RSW Green with saddle leather And then some BR manifolds and cats!

I agree with that fully - it's how you do your man maths! I would rather the cheaper car up front than borrow, hence buying the DB9 cash instead of borrowing for a DBS...DBS Volantes really do hold their money though... all the money I have spent and will spend on my DB9 Volante to make it 650bhp, different interior, exterior trim, suspension, brakes and so on will still cost less than a DBS Volante.
