I renewed my AMOC Membership this year - I suppose, I wanted to be part of the celebrations.

I hope there won't be any myopic silliness that causes me to regret that decision frown

If you'd saved that money, you could have afforded to park in a Field!smile

Brilliant. Just read the whole of that thread. £75 to park in a field! Or £100 to park on a closed road and you can't get your car back until after 5pm on the Sunday.

Does the entry fee include stick on beard and entry into the wife swapping tent?

I can't see Luna going to a wife swapping. I'm fairly sure he's gay.

I will be attending and the car parking costs are not that relevant. I live in Devon so will be coming up for the weekend and the difference in in paying for car parking in a NCP or the AMOC event is not significant and will not change my view on what I think will be a spectacular event. For those in London it is perhaps more of an issue but I think it will be one of those events that if you don't go you will always wish that you had.

so it's ok to pay £75/£100 to park your car in a field or on public display....with you paying for the privilidge of being there....for your information...ncp car park just up the road....£15.00 to park all day Sunday , and they even let you take the car out when you want to , and not when dictated by a so called volunteer , who by the way will be being paid to wear his hi-vis vest and dish out orders to all and sundry...if we let the AMOC charge whatever thet feel is right , when will it stop?...next year will it be £200 to enter or go and see a concours event?....my feelings are the club should not be paying , nor should it's members...a fee of £25.00 is enough , and let AML , cough up the rest , after all it is their PR event and it's not enough that we all spend quite enough money with them on parts and the like....so how about it it AML....treat your customers to a day out for once..!!!!...without trying to fleece them of every hard earned penny...

rant over....
note to self....get a hi-vis vest....might get in for nothing...

I'm trying to - so far no answer to my question as to who gets to choose the 100 cars?

I don't go on AMOC that often and I can see this being handed out to the 100 longest beards wink

Hi Lewis, I've just done a reply to your question on the AMOC site - should have added that I have no idea if what I said is right but that's what they did at Windsor smile
