Really Molly If the V8V was tbat good you wouldn't have gone to BR to make your one into what it should have been in the first place (twice). Very few V12V owners feel the need to upgrade

Lots more like these out there.
Oh Dear V12 Woollie , you are about to be put in your place. Bamford Rose's latest creation is about to eclipse any thing currently available in V12 trim. Mikey's little bomb shell will prove that point . BR are producing V12 trouncing v8 engine cars that will prove you so very wrong! http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Search-Results...

A highly modified car beating performance of standard car... amazing! Do the same to a V12V then compare...
Proving yesterday with data logging put him somewhere between factory V12's and BR V12's on torque and power (without the twin throttles at this stage!)
Early impressions are the work done on the gearbox has paid dividends, with even quicker changes than the BR clutch package gives, less NVH and less losses (so more power to the wheels!)
Right - cup of tea, sort the camera out and off we trot!

Have a great day Mikey. Millbrook is awesome in any car. In Johnny Early impressions are the work done on the gearbox has paid dividends, with even quicker changes than the BR clutch package gives, less NVH and less losses (so more power to the wheels!)

Lance Mike was testing a Zagota to Lance spec on the same day and there's not much in it in a straight line but come to the corners and its all over (apparently)
I suspect the gearbox and tyres have helped here
Looking forward to finding out and finding the new limits, the rear brakes hold testament to me getting past them in standard form

Fair point Nick, though I would question the power to weight difference between the two cars. The V8 engine is at the very least 50 Kilos lighter, might even be more. The ASM2 gearbox is 30 kilos lighter as well. Mike's car also has lighter wheels, that combined with a reduced nose weight would provide more nimble handling. Just saying!!! AMDBSNick said:

Lance Lance was 570 Rob, with only a exhaust & cam change. So not much of an eclipse .
Looking forward to the report Mikey, exciting times. I am sure that V8 will sing nicely & the obvious advantage of less nose weight will certainly make for a formidable car.

I wonder what the result of doing the same relative work to a V12 would be....I can't help but think pushing the boundaries of a V12 past a Lance spec car as far as Johnny has gone past a V8 would make one VERY serious V12 engine bit of kit......Any takers
It's been discussed; the artist formerly known as JohnG1 wanted to put a 6.5 or even 7 litre into his V12 Vantage. BR's opinion, IIRC, was that it was too much power for the short chassis to be a viable road car and tourer. As a 'pure' sports car it'd be fantastic with that power, but it's a bit heavy and luxurious for that Big power is better suited to the longer chassis a-la Bob's DB9.2
My engine build; half a litre gain on displacement plus 'exotic components' should be around 100bhp/litre, so is the same plan for the V12 that Mikey has had done to the V8. I somehow doubt my old nail of an 06 Volante will handle as brilliantly as the V8VR but it'll try... by god, it'll try
