Looks like Johnny 550's starting to come together already!

How come you've had a new block Mikey? I thought you were having yours bored out? What are you doing with your old block?

We've been waiting for your 6.5 litre block forever! Is it even coming? wink

The block has been done for many months! The heads have now been ported and all components sourced. Just a question now of paying for it weeping

Reason for new block for both Mikey and I is so that the engine can be built offline and you don't give up your car for several months! The old blocks are taken back by BR on an exchange basis... No coffee tables for you wink

Surely soon-to-be-mrs-Yeti will understand if the wedding is delayed for you to have a new engine? hehe

I wouldn't want a V8 coffee table either, you wouldn't be able to fit anything useful on that tiny area wink

Nice one Mikey, it does look superb, when is it likely to be ready for lift off?

Chatting to "Dr" Mike last night Bruce will be starting to lay hands on in the next few weeks party
The boys at BR are all getting rather excited having seem various components for Johnny 550 go on to 4.7's with great results
The sum of the parts and increased capacity is going to create a monster laugh

I gave it serious consideration..... Before deciding that in the long run it would make more sense for me to put the funds towards a newer carsmile

Purdey is booked in with BR on our return from the Geneva trip. 5 ltr cylinder heads , dual induction system and twin throttle bodies being the order of the day. Bamford Mikes aim is 520 + BHP. Johnny 550 will be a bit of a monster with an additional 30 odd BHP. I hope my project will be completed in time for the Wales bash!
