How quickly should heated seats become warm/hot and how hot should they get?

The reason I ask is whichever setting I put the heated seats on, low/high, they don’t get very warm at all, even after a few minutes.

I don't use mine often, but I seem to remember it takes around 5 mins, when it's really cold, they get pretty hot on maximum heat. Definitely not something you could miss at this time of year.

It varies from model to model and the power management of the car. I have never had the car you mention but on my current car the seats will get warm in less than a minute but on other cars it has taken about three minutes. Also depends on the air temperature as to how long it takes to notice that something is happening. Sounds like you may have an issue though.

Also depends on how many layers of clothing you have on - t I have my thick sheepskin then the heat never gets through!

5mins I would have thought would do it, maximum. They're pretty quick in my old DB9.

Very quick in my DB9 - in less than a minute I can feel the heat on my blue skin yes

After 5 mins I would definitely have to flick over to the low setting smile

Mine are slower to get warm, and when they do get warm, not as warm as my 11 year old golf with leather seats. I was surprised how little they warm up even on the high setting on my v8v. I rarely wear many clothes in the car either. I'm a Geordie, so it is not in the DNA.

Yes the Bigg market is quite an eyeful. And not necessarily in a good way. It's like an open air big girl market.

I've had a few nights out in the Big Market when I was a student; townies are not allowed to wear a coat - it is in fact a Bylaw in Newcastle.

I've never tried my heated seats - I think it has them, but I'm not 100% sure.

Heated Seats are CRUCIAL when using the McDonalds Drive Thru - stick the Chicken Select XL meal on the pre-heated passenger seat and you have a lovely hot meal awaiting you upon arrival chez toi !!

Ok, so the McFlurry doesn't mix well with the Bridge of Weir.....and the car does smell for a few days thereafter.... but it's certainly a strategy to be perfected yes

07 V8V here.

Couple of minutes max to warm up. High setting is too much for extended use most of the time. Great if you have a bit of back ache though (prolapsed a disc about 6yrs ago and seat warmers really help smile).

Pardon Seb !!

Every now and then you just NEED to do it.

Normal service will be resumed shortly, with our booking at the 2 Michelin Star Square in Mayfair next month, followed by the 1 Michelin Star Fraiche (Monsieur Gould's favorite) five weeks later.

Formidable wink

Tried mine today. Seat warmed up quicker than the 1st to 2nd gear shift does.
Is it only me then whose heated seat is either on or off. none of this changing settings?
