Got paddles disabled warning message. Googled it whilst in traffic. Said can happen if you are being nasty to it I was being nice as I recall ( kids in the car) and it reset on next start

I was playing with the paddles as in traffic had nothing else to do. Did you know in you pull both at the same time it goes into neutral?

Has a use I suppose but I don't recall it being in the manual.

Yes Jeremy - a bit like the folding mirrors when you press both buttons at the same time.

The paddles are useful I suppose if you want to engage neutral when at lights but there was a thread advising against that many moons ago smile

Never heard of that error message before confused
I regularly use the both paddles trick for neutral with no issue

I had that same message once about 10K miles ago and never again. I was paddling between 1st and 2nd in ebb and flow traffic for about 20-30 minutes. I'd had the car for only a week and was 100 miles from home when it happened; thoughts of transporting the car home flashed through my head. Drove for another half hour and parked. When I started off again a bit later, all was well.

I assumed it had something to do with heat -- not enough airflow over the transmission cooler?

I'm assuming (based on his name) that Jeremy is driving a DB9, just like I am smile

Vantage sportshift might be immune from this.

I had the same message on a DBS, followed by a gearbox message, sport function disabled etc, a re flash at the dealer seems to have fixed it for now.
Unrelated probably but the sat nav also moved me a full county..... The car must be a tardis.
