Clutch / discs / pads?

About £34k I'd imagine

lots for sale from traders at 32-34k. Most with more miles admittedly. However if I was buying privately I would want to pay at least 10% less from a private sale because of the risk.

I am in the market for one, sadly not in that colour.

I think privately for a good low mileage perfect history 30-33k. I sadly dont think any more.

At this moment in time 34-35k max, any warranty? Is it a '56 or '06?

I bought one which is very similar (although it is an '07 model with the new seats etc) just before Christmas. It was a private sale and the seller was over bit of a barrel, having moved out of the country. I got a very good deal and I paid just over £35k.

The low 30s estimates are too low, IMHO. That would buy you a similar aged car with +50/60k miles.

Amazes me that car owners are happy to pull the price of their own cars down by low balling other people. Sorry to be blunt but whoever said £30k needs their head inspected. There are 60k mile bomb scares up at that price online that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

Do people not realise that by fire selling their car or 'advising' people to sell cheap it simply means their cars are worth less as the price expectation drops.

Anyway rant over...

G - It's a nice car and I'd be going for £35/36k. Might get a bit more if summer hurries along then prices pick up. I sold mine in September for £39k.

Private sale ask £34k but be prepared to do a deal at £33k/£32.5k. If you want a laugh get a valuation from we'steal'anycar.com - will be less than £25k.

Depends if he wants to sell it fast. Price it at 30k and it'll be gone in a week with no dramas and no haggling. Price it at 36k... It simply won't sell as that is dealer money but without the prep or warranty. It is only worth what someone will pay. He asked the question, he got reasonable answers, telling him it's worth more isn't going to help with the sale or increase the value of our cars. I like to think my car is worth 50k, if I needed a fast sale it'd be more like sub-40k.

And... they won't sell because nor will anyone else at that price smile

Exactly, you can buy a warrantied main dealer car for £36k ish. You can buy none main dealer but dealer cars at £34k ish. Thus, private, sorry its 31-33k.

Wishful thinking will not sell the car im afraid.

Exactly. Said it earlier today. Non Aston dealers are asking ~33k for same age but 25-35k miles. One even advertised with new clutch. So buyers have a choice:-
a) Reputable trader for car 30k miles - even without warranty Sale of Goods Act applies
b) Private seller for car <20k miles - hopefully the seller is honest and a nice bloke

Which one are you going to buy (especially if you have limited knowledge of Astons)?

No I am not looking to buy an Aston (own a car of similar age to OP) neither am I looking to take his pants down by buying his car. Just being realistic. I know if I look to buy a newer Aston I am going to get high 20's as a trade in (if I am lucky).

Alternatively we could tell the OP its worth 35k any day of the week, and a few months later it will still be for sale.

I don't think i need my head inspected thanks all the same smile
But seeing you pissed me off,
I got 35k as a P/X for a 2007 roadster with 17.5k miles and 6 owners FSH etc
So privately going off the above you can see where im coming from and there's no need to be rude.
The OP asked for opinions and he got them weather you agree or not.
Anyway rant over smile

Sold a mint condition 07 model with 16000miles and only one previous owner last August for £34000.
Values have somewhat hardened since last year as prices haven't dropped over the winter months unlike the last few years.
