Lance has a younger brother.......... meet Oscar
Discussion
Well it was inevitable I guess, imitation being the highest form of flattery I have a spare getaway mota now but this one has flipped it's lid. Well being a V12VR, it can flip it's lid.

Very bottom of the page to read the evidence against Oscar, it is compelling, but I am sure he will get away with it
I guess I will need to raid another bank and push Lance a little further with better cancer treatment .
Seeing as Professor Mike names all the cars I think it is only fitting that Mike has his own name on here. I vote Frank as in Frankenstein He created a monster and it is fair to say that BR have also.

Can someone translate this post for me?
Click on the link and read about another V12V, but this time a 1 month old V12VR with some BR treatment.

Is it just me who's a bit saddened to see a car modified when it's such a limited edition?
I tend to agree from an investment point of view as originality seems to be quite important as the car gets older however as an owner its a fantastic package that the car is more than capable of handling and therefore very tempting .Think the big question is it a keeper or not ? I would love to drive a V12V with 600bhp possibly as a Le Mans edition ( one of my all time favourites V600 Le Mans) Love the fact so many owners have added personal touches to teh spec of their V12VR - if I'm not mistaken, they are still standard Vantage sports seats, but with new Vanquish style trim
As for modding a ltd edition car, I've had a long long chat with Mike about doing the identical conversion to mine. I'm starting with the cats on my way down to the Eurotunnel for the Geneva trip and plan to do the rest in time for next spring.
I like stopping exactly where Lance and this new V12VR have because you can keep all the original parts and easily swap them back - to me, this is effectively an exhaust upgrade/change, albeit a very good one that liberates a lot of power - the next stage would involve effectively un-reversible engine changes that would be a step too far for a ltd ed. car, all IMHO.
Of course there is no right & wrong so I appreciate to some, any non-factory changes are too far, but Aston, unlike say Ferrari or Porsche, have a history of their cars being performance upgraded by the likes of RS WIlliams and I'm sure BR will be viewed in a similar way over time, so I'm quite comfortable with it

Maybe Mike slips something in your ‘rosie’ each time you visit, before you know it, he’s got you.

If that makes you sad, perhaps you need to go out more. It's not like someone has stuck a Rover V8 in a DB4 GT Zagato is it And while you're out, take a few more snaps of Sophie for your pals will you?

Is that just the 200 cell cats and resonators jonby? Will be interesting to see (hear) how different to mine that sounds before the manifolds are doneyeti said:

It just seems a bit sad that in the future there won't be many original ones left And while you're out, take a few more snaps of Sophie for your pals will you?
And maybe, I haven't seen her for a bit. Although now I've had Nick's wonderful advice, and approval that may hopefully change!

I see it as a car, a beautiful and rare car admittedly, but it's been created to be driven and enjoyed. If someone wants to part with the large amounts of cash to get one and then spend more to do something that increases their enjoyment, then fair play to them. Don't see anything sad about it myself. jonby said:

I certainly don't plan on having any silencing when I get the CATs done. Once the manifolds are done, I guess I'll take a view but for the reasons above, not planning on it.
I remember someone on here when asked do they really 'need' more powere from their Aston, replying 'it's for sh*ts & giggles'. Same goes for me in respect of the noise !
