Well..I must truly be a complete Knob. Not only do I wear an Omega Seamaster Pro but my DB9 has a private plate 'DG 07 SPY'. I don't think I am James Bond and I gave actually being a SPY when I left the military.
I like it when people look at my car, take photographs and guess what??? 'Smile' at my '07 SPY' numberplate. I have always had private plates.. 'V4 XKR' on my XKR, 'K9 DRG' when I had 2 German Shepherds and to top it off my wife has 'G6 VRS' (GG VRS) on her Octavia VRS.
It is a personal choice and it's all about FUN and making people smile. (And look at your car).
I didn't look at the plate but those sport pack alloys look so right on a DB9. Must create some man maths half arsed reason why £3k on 4 wheels is a good idea.I like it when people look at my car, take photographs and guess what??? 'Smile' at my '07 SPY' numberplate. Surely it's about driving, enjoying the car and so on. I couldn't give a crap about making people smile or have them laugh at my my car. I assure you, with the greatest of respect, that that's what they're doing to yours. I don't think you think you're James Bond as he's a fictional character. But you clearly want to be Sorry for the negativity.
Your car looks fantastic by the way with those Sports Pack wheels. It is a credit to you And the Seamaster is a great watch for the money, I have owned a good few of them but sold them due to product placement...

So I take it you won't be joining one of those same 'look at me' same model car runs, pootling through some villages in. 30mph convoy, revving up to a chosen hotel and parking in a line....in front of all the Polish staff. Apologies to those who don't, but I love personalised plates - its all abit of fun.
My plates are profession and car specific - TOO7H for an Aston and D3 CAY for a Porsche CAYenne.
The professional specific nature of the plates were intentional, but the car specific nature was not - just happened I purchased these cars.

I too love personal plates, a bit of good fun, your dental themed plates are excellent.
It's a bit more difficult for us over here in Northern Ireland, we don't have the certificate of retention legislation. Therefore, a plate must be kept on a vehicle all the time.
I have a couple with my initials and a couple of nice old low digit local plates.

Apologies accepted. 'Each to their own of course'. I love old number plates (plates get it), but am not very keen on doctored (or dentisted), mis-spaced, wrong characters, or dated plates. However, there are a few exceptions, that do work without alteration eg. CRA1G (ref. above, Well done), SIMON or COM1C.
If I were a member of the dentistry profession, BDS 9 would be the one for me. Perhaps not obvious to all of your patients, but nicely subtle.

Yes I agree, subtlety can have its appeal - I also have D12 BDS and K9 GDP - probably just subtle enough.Edited by Jon39 on Tuesday 19th March 19:25
