According to the Mail, the car is a "right off" and "The luxury vehicle has now been taken to the scrapyard." Yeah right, taken to a scrapyard laugh
I suspect the pink barbie car is a gonner, but no way is the DBS a write off, unless they've forgotten to mention how the whole petrol station exploded immediately after that photo.

The article is now the most read on the DM website, well done PH smile

I try to judge each person individually, but in the case of pink cars, you do tend to find they're driven by similar people wink
Well here you go....

I had a slow speed collision in my V8V - car was still drivable.
Trouble is, the panels are either composite (which breaks) or aluminium (which buckles). I guess some "insurance recommended" bodyshops would do a repair but I exercised my right of choice and insisted AM Works Service did the repairs. So anything with the slightest damage was totally replaced. Not sure of the exact cost as the insurers paid but it was somewhere around £30K!
Car looks brand new now, though! smile

So I could see how the costs could spiral if the alu chassis was damaged ...
However, I'd be amazed if that DBS was a right off. The owner probably hoped it was, hence his comments.

This was the daft bint that was in the paper for dying the fur on her white cat pink for a laugh IIRC a while ago. With any look her premium will be so outrageous following this claim it will keep her off the road till she grows up

wtf

"Natasha Gregory's pink Vauxhall lost control and careened onto forecourt"

so it was the car that lost control, not the driver? okaaaay

Knowing that road so well I fail to understand at all how this happened. Coming from town the only way would be to seriously tank it. Coming out of the petrol station and going around, the only way is to tank it.

Judging the book by the cover, based on the aforementioned cat story, the state of her car I would imagine she is one of the many types of girl drivers that insurance stats say are "safe" because they often don't make a claim.

To manage to avoid the lamp post and the street sign and hit the Aston takes skill!

It is, it's the red car on Lake Como at the Vila d'Este I think. Just false colour, rather unpleasantly.
