Sorry Keith, Ive been flat out.

I use zaino z-9 most of the time. Spray on a section (bottom half of the seat) lightly work in with a soft nail/shoe brush and wipe off with a clean cloth.

Conditioners dont really do a lot on modern leather, so youre better off protecting it with something like GTechniq L1 leather guard

Other leather cleaners worth a look are the swissvax one or one by a company called Dr leather.

As I said eaerlier, I really like the AG leather cream. I also have Glipton but the smell of that can be quite pungent.

Gliptone makes your car smell like an old peoples home. Something some of the Db9 owners are used to i guess

So the Dr Leather advanced formula leather cleaner would work, there are also Dr Leather wipes as well, would they do the job too?

As I have said before, I have looked at the Zaino Z9 Soft Leather Spray Cleaner and as you use it, it must be good as a cleaner. The GTechniq L1 leather guard looks like a repellent type product. I know it would keep the leather protected, but does it also replenish the leather like a balm product like the Zaino Z10 Leather in a Bottle I mentioned?

So if I use the Zaino Z9 Soft Leather Spray Cleaner and then use the GTechniq L1 leather guard the leather guard will keep my seats etc be replenished and looking good and will not show signs of cracking in time using this stuff?

I am trying to find a couple of products to clean and replenish the leather in my car so they look nice and last a long time, if you know what I mean? I will be guided by your advice as I was already looking at the Zaino Z9 Soft Leather Spray Cleaner, for the cleaning aspect of what I want to achieve.

Thanks for your help.

The thing is, you wont really replenish the leather with a conditioner. I used to think that you could, but all modern leather is coated, much like the paint on the outside of the car. So while it appears to be softer, it doesnt do a great deal. It does have an effect on some older leather seats though, but these days, most detailers will clean the leather and then protect it with something like the GTechniq product. This will help against the leather getting dirty, but you cant really prevent the lines in the seats, as its effectively the leather stretching and no coating can stop that.

All 3 products are quite cheap (z-9 z-10 L1) so why not buy them and give them a try and see what works best for you. To apply either the conditioner or the L1, you will need something like a microfiber applicator pad.

Chris, try something like this:
http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/ecom-prodshow/WLSR100.ht...

Its a good price point and the pot will last you a few years (depending on how often you like to wax the car.

I can vouch for both Z-9 and Z-10 from Zaino.

I've tried many different brands on the leather in my GT, usually because the Zaino can go out of stock very quickly, so I then need an alternative.

Compared to the Zaino products, nothing else I have used comes close.

Not just in effect but also ease of application.

The Z10 although it is a treatment and conditioner give such a fantastic smell of leather back to the interior, I doubt I'll stop using it even if the leather is coated smile

It does have a UV guard in the Z10, so not all just in the smell.

I have an order arriving today which contains more Z9 and some IronX products.

Oi,,,Francis,,,although I appreciate the humour of your reference to Gliptone and old peoples homes, it does ammuse me, laugh I'll have you know that the new DB9 II sits very close indeed in power terms to the now discontinued DBS, less of the smelly brigade sitting there I suggest. wink By the way, my DB9 II is on order, June handover, happy AM days.

As you enjoy DB9 jokes (I did not begin the pipe and slippers), did you see mine about reduced price tickets, for the AM Centenary event at Brands Hatch?

I have just treated my Vantage seats with Gliptone this morning, as I had an almost full bottle of it in my polish cupboard.

Am I going to do any harm to the leather with this stuff? it does seem to be drying into the seats quite well already.

I have to say, I do quite like the smell of it, like going into an old fashioned shoe shop. There seems to be much less of a leather / new car smell in this car than the last one.

Despite some of the views on here Gliptone is consistently a top scorer in side by side tests....... It's good stuff for leather...
I've used it for years on all sorts of vehicles, and see no need to change...smile

Don't really care about my paintwork but my leather is looking quite grubby these days frown Are you using coloured/tinted stuff Luna or is it a colourless liquid?

Think I bought some Autoglym leather cleaner once but of course have never used it being an important and busy man rolleyes
