Yeah, I sometimes forget how much more civilised, and useful the Aston bit of PH is compared to the rest
To OP: yeah, it's not that unusual, and if you're going to get it fixed yourself, consider the Bamford Rose lightweight flywheel and clutch - supposedly it will last a lot longer (don't know how long ago the first one was fitted, but I've not heard of any failing). It makes the car rev more freely and the clutch action much lighter on a manual, and speeds up the Sports Shift. I've not driven a SS car with them on, but heard it makes a big difference.
I got my car done around 9 months ago, and wouldn't go back.
