Hi Folks,

Just collected my DB9 Volante (MY06DB9) with photos to follow! But can't believe the alarm fob is a volvo fob with a volvo logo on??? is this really right and does anyone do any little aston badges or enamelled stickers to cover this....

Having read various threads about the iphone 5 installation on bluetooth I was relieved mine worked quite easily but still battling to setup the garage door opener!

It should be leather covered. You can only see Volvo if you scrape it off

They sometimes come up on eBay. I gather they cannot be reprogrammed without some official paperwork so most are worth pennies, and you would only need the outer shell not the insides

The very thin plastic covering split down one side of one of my fobs and was flapping about. So I took it to bits removed the thin cover (which does reveal "Volvo" on the back of the fob) and changed the battery at the same time.

I purchased an enamel lapel badge which is the same size as the "Volvo" writing. However, it does have a pin on the back, which might be a pain to remove. But once the pin is removed, it could be super glued to the rear of the fob and this would cover the "Volvo" name.

I am thinking about doing it myself as the badge wasn't too expensive in the first place thumbup

Also just found these:

They are 35mm wide, so would cover the "Volvo" word and just hang very slightly over each edge of the fob. I might actually give it a go myself thumbup

Thanks. I think I favour the idea of the lapel pin which in on ebay for £4.50. i have emailed the seller to find out the exact size as a few minutes spent with a dremel would probably give a better quality look.... Failing that I will go for the stickers!

I like the idea of the spare fob and that of the outside case....

Does this mean to get a spare alarm fob it would be cheaper to go to volvo does anyone know? rolleyes

I removed the pin part of a lapel pin Aston badge and stuck it onto an iPhone case.
It's really easy to do with a pair of pliers and a small file!! 3 min job.
