Not the sort of Vantage you were thinking of, but:

Great colours, but not together IMHO.

I know the Newport Pagnell Virage and Vantage aren't really that good. But they do have a certain something special... scratchchin

I like that a lot yes

HI KF

I have done something similar with Diamond Quilted Black Alcantara, I have had the armrest, door-cards, and seat centres done with the Hand brake cover, roof lining and Speedo binnacle done in plain Alcantara.
The interior was originally all Iron Ore with a cream head lining which although I like Iron Ore it was all a bit much.

I notice on your pictures you have modified the panel around the gear lever, can you tell me how you did it and is it wearing well?

Hi KF

The link is brilliant great idea of covering the gear surround panel, I have had mine powder coated gloss black but the finish isn’t great and it marks easily.
Do you think you can re-cover the panel with Alcantara and still retain the Ashtray?

I will post pictures asap.

I don't see why not. Anything is possible. I would be cautious of covering the ashtray lid in matching Alcantara, though. The reason being that anything that has an exposed edge of the fabric (i.e. the fabric does not wrap around to the back side) runs the risk of peeling off or looking unfinished.

The only reason I removed the ashtray was for my detector's remote display. Also, all of my mods have been 100% reversible, so I could peel off the Alcantara and reinstall the ashtray if I chose. This is also why I made brand new door cards and armrests using polycarbonate instead of simply re-covering the existing ones.

HI KF

Thank you for your feedback I was thinking of getting the Stainless steel finish one as it would match the Gear stick surround and my DBS gear stick.

I will let you know how I get on.
