Hi, yes I did
Cant say why but just love the look of the DBS... Still like the original V8V's as just have an originality about them which is lovely...
V12 amazing, lets face it these cars are all great !
Not going to take any on track tho and feel the slightly more refined DBS will suit me 99% more than the v12
Cost of ownership is a concern, as it is with any AM, as not mega wealthy, just work hard and give up things to own one, run one. But that said once I have one it wants for nothing.
Also own 2 Ducatis so used to expensive love affairs !!!

Didn't think it would take you long to get the bug again Mark! You'll be pleased to know your last one's still running beautifully. Get a DBS, then when you tire of it, well, you know where I am Cant say why but just love the look of the DBS... Would then not be better off knocking £15,000 off the price of the car and putting on normal disks - would anyone not driving an a track actually notice?
Yes, it would be VERY noticeable. The CCM discs mean having clean wheels as opposed to cleaning the wheels every time you return from a jaunt.DB9VolanteDriver said:

Ok .. Now gay comments aside. I pay £7 to get the car washed. 15,000 pays for 41 years of weekly car washes!
Now let's assume that with nice clean wheels I only get it washed every other week then i am on an 82 year payback
Still seems a little bit expensive!
Don't you have a man servant ! Good God man you will telling me next you polish your own shoes !Now let's assume that with nice clean wheels I only get it washed every other week then i am on an 82 year payback

Fab, so pleased she went to you my friend and that she is till running so wellLet u know if the Big one arrives, probably May time as troublesome neighbour (who has access rights on our drive) having major house work done similar to the room we built. Dont fancy skips and bricks piled next to a new DBS !!!

The CCMs are a bit like the B&O System - I've no interest in paying for them myself but if somebody were to be kind enough to spec / pay for them at the original purchase point I would be happy to 'adopt' them at a future date.
CCMs still emit some brake dust but not a lot and I've heard some scare stories regarding the reaction of this dust with the alloys if left on too long so I suppose less dust is better. There is also the life span of the CCMs to consider against normal ones. As for stopping power, I hear they are great but then I hear they need to warm up a bit first ???

Never had a problem with any corrosion issues.
Lifespan of CCM discs = 100K miles. I'm not aware of many Astons with that kind of mileage.
The brakes work brilliantly from cold.
HTH.
Thanks guys
Any stories of ownership / issues good and bad always appreciated...
As expensive as AM's are to own you cant help but want them !!!
Servicing / tyres / consumables (think the CCM debate is put to bed with no nightmare stories of £15k work needed) are just best off known before going in to ownership again, especially at DBS level for me... Eyes wide open and all that...
Once work done on neighbours house the hunt will start...

Perfect candidate for CCM's....I can't think of anyone else who spends as much time with their foot on the brake pedal:

What they bought them in for could vary enormously. Depends on a huge number of things. Has the old owner purchased a new Vanquish? Was the last owner about to go bust etc. My own experience tells me Stratstone for example will not budge on price, other may have a different experience. Cash buyer makes no difference to them, in fact I suspect they would prefer finance as they make money on that. Best advice IMHO is bid them in the bks and see what happens. Good luck
