Keeping on the theme of satnav...Just had a battery arrive (via Cockers) for my secondhand tomtom (via Cockers) for Geneva. He (Cockers) tells me a need a right tool....Can anyone help?

Tony, are you saying the standard AM Nav is not good enough to navigate through europe? smile

Ah Sukh....I'm sure it would, however we may yes deviate slightly from the A to B direct route and I needed - or was sold one by cockers scratchchin to be correct - an older style TT that woud take itn files.
PLUS you never know if you need a spare - I have AM fitted, Iphone google maps, Iphone crappy maps and now a TT, all I need now is a right tool

Very true.

I'm planning a south of france (possibly geneva on the way) trip in June, will take the wife's european TT with us just in case! Works quite well tried it in Portgual/Spain smile

I'm taking a sextant as my backup. Proper navigating instrument, none of this new fangled electronic stuff

Yep I can, you really should check the serial number on that unit wink cross check against the crimewatch database biggrin
