Broke it already
Discussion
So, last night had a long trip in the V8V (pre 2009) and noticed a rattle. Not unusual I expect, but this one sounded to be from the other side of the firewall. A kind of metallic rattle like a heat shield. Continuous but only slight. Came off the motorway and stopped at a junction, accelerating away the rattle showed itself big time. It appears that the harder I press the loud pedal, the nastier it is.
Clutch plate falling apart?
Obviously the next step is to book it in with Aston, wave the warranty papers and the receipt for the 2k miles old clutch and keep my fingers crossed.
Words of wisdom or experience?

OK, took it into Strats Wilmslow today and spent ages with the guys there. An extended road test with their guys and we were able to replicate the noise. But.... they are finding this one "interesting". I assume "interesting" means "baffled and expensive".
So, driving around town for 10-15 mins and the noise was absent. Got onto a motorway at speed and within a short time the rattle started. Sounds from behind the firewall and metallic like a loose heat-shield. 3 or 4 runs up and down the expressway at constant 70 ish and the rattle is continuous and obvious. Bear in mind that the car had been driven round town for longer and the rattle did not show.
After the expressway cruising the rattle now stayed continuously, even round town at low (30mph) speed.
The rattle also disappears when any left or right G force is applied. A long right or left hander with any gusto and the rattle stops, straight line and its back.
Let the car cool and it stops, back to the expressway to get it to show itself again.
They can't find it so far but think its temperature related. This is getting expensive.
If anyone has any insight, it would be appreciated.

Same problem on my car and Stratstone Derby knew exactly what it was and easy fix. A cover plate near the windscreen wipers IIRC.
Seems they found it to be exactly that. Not too big a bill either. Glad to have read the above because when I rang them this morning, if they hadn't fixed it then your experience would have saved me from clinical depression!!!
