Looks a bit toppy, as mine were a grand less. Admittedly without tyres though, so would depend on how much life is left in them.

From the photos, it looks like there are still a good few mm left. And they are Potenzas.

The seller is open to offers, one of which is currently 'pending'.

Here's another set, for a much lower price:

Although tread carefully, the seller has '0' feedback. I would (obviously) go and see them before any cash changed hands.

Thanks for posting these, chaps. I'm on the lookout but get nervous on this sort of thing. Might need to go to Cheltenham to have a look.

Chaps, about to make a complete cock of myself, but can you confirm that the Sportpack alloys only come in one size, ie 19" and that they will definitely fit my V8V? I'm about to view a second hand set, apart from the obvious kerbing and flaking, is there anything slightly less obvious I should be looking for? Finally, what do think would be a fair price to pay for a set that are allegedly only 6 weeks old?

Yep only 19" they will fit any V8V pre 12.25MY, not sure about with the larger front caliper after that. (Buy them so I can test them on mine wink )
6 weeks old and already kerbed doesn't sound good.
Tough on price, you are going to need to refinish them all to get the same finish, use that to haggle.
Look out for any welding repairs that have been ground down and painted over, check they are not bent (lay them on a nice flat surface?)

Thanks Mikey, they've not been kerbed as far as I know, I was just sighting examples of obvious faults. They look good in the photos, but there are only 2 photos. I'll ask for some more before I go down there. Good shout on laying them flat, especially given the recent hammer thread!! smile

Someone on this forum recently bought a brand new set from Stratsone AM FOR £2,300 and that price would include VAT.
If they are for sale on Ebay and you pay for them using Paypal the seller loses a lot (£100's)on commission to Paypal, so if you are waving cash in front of the seller then point this out to them.

Purchase payments received (monthly)

Fee per transaction

£0.00 GBP - £1,500.00 GBP

3.4% + £0.20 GBP

£1,500.01 GBP - £6,000.00 GBP

2.9% + £0.20 GBP

About £35.00 for a £1000 transaction. I agree folding stuff is better, but not hundreds better. Obviously the source of folding stuff is important whistle

Perhaps I am thinking about the Ebay seller fees, I was sure the seller ends up getting much less on a £2,300 purchase.
I bought a Rolex Explorer on Ebay and that was my tactics when I met the guy at a Rolex dealer to get it inspected, then pointed out the amount he would lose to Ebay / Paypal.
He accepted a lower price based on waving the dosh at him
