At Silverstone Classic, the Aston owners/display section was opposite the Lambo section, which in turn was next to Ferrari - a few hundred of each marque in each

95% + (perhaps even higher) of the Ferraris were not just red, but the same shade of red

The Lambos were a vast range of incredibly bright colours, with the odd matt black car in between - even the Miura was fluorescent green

The Astons were mostly grey/black/silver, with the odd white & red car plus of course the magnificent bright yellow V12VR all standing out - even the Zagato and two ONE77s were conservative in colour

I think it becomes self fulfilling after a while

Very nice thumbup

I'm still tempted by a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Navy Seals with black and yellow strap. But I spent the money I had saved up for it on the R6 frown

Cheers George....

It's pre worn, (was worn by the manager to a JLC function) but I got a great deal and a 3 year warranty, as the sold it as New ex demo....smile

It has a mechanical alarm function, that sounds lovely when it ringscool

without question, that's my favourite JLC divers watch - everything about it just works.

Me too..... I was in the process of buying a master compressor geographic GMT..... But I wasn't getting a good vibe from the sellerfrown... So opted out..

I spotted this in the window of Waltons in Chester yesterday, (they're a JLC dealer) but they were shut..... Made a few enquiries today, made sure I knew what I was looking at, and that the price wasn't silly.....

Wasn't sure at first, but the more I looked at it, and put my thinking cap on, the better it felt... And then it all fell into place, I've already got GMT watches, divers watches etc........BUT I've never had a watch with a mechanical alarmbiggrin

Seeing and understanding how the alarm functions were designed and worked whilst on the tour, was the icing on the cake..
It really is a lovely soundears

I even gave the sales guy a lesson on how the micro adjustments on the clasps work.....he's been there 12 years and never knew the clasp had such a featurehehe

As you can tell I'm rather pleased with my purchasebounce

I told the wife is V12woolie's fault.... And she wants a word with himmad

So many leading brands owe a lot to JLC, not least the provision of complete movements and components. Some really valuable collectors pieces out there where these collaborations have been made and not just JLC ones.
