"The project" :-) with my Vantage V12 Carbon Black
Discussion
custom made of an powerful super sports exhaust with this advantages:
-lightweight (original = 36.3 kg - tuning = 19.7 kg)
-powerful 542PS – 602NM
-cool sound ;-) (with flaps technique)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ffo6X34y8E (sorry only stupid mobile sound - better follows :-))
Consisting of:
-manifold modifications
-metal cat replacment for the original ceramic precats
-laying back the precats including the lambda probes
-cat delete pipes
-new ceramic coated middle pipe with d=70mm
-flaps muffler replacement d=70mm

I'm interested to know more about the "flaps technique"
On picture 3 you can see the two pressure doses. With this you can control the flaps. The flaps operate via a remote control. You can run the exhaust completly over the damper (closed flap) or with open flap - direct flow, without damper ! Flap closed very nice sound ans perfect for the city and open flap..... That is going to be LOUD!
So as I understand it you had a go at port matching the existing headers to the heads, replaced the primary cats with hi flow ones and welded cones to the exits to allow bigger pipes?
No secondary cats?
Almost striaght through back box with the valves closed?
Straight through with them open?

That system looks superb, it's like a work of art.
Can we have some more information on the manufacturers, UK availability, is it for self fitting, price etc.
Do you have you any other modifications to the induction system etc.
only a BMC air filter, nothing else; ecu is original too! The manufacturer is motorsport schmid from Germany. It was his first exhaust for an Vantage but now you can order it :-). I mean, delivery to UK is possible. Self fitting, normally no problem but in my opinion then without modification to the precats and manifold. Can we have some more information on the manufacturers, UK availability, is it for self fitting, price etc.

Take a look:

Thanks, I have sent the company an email.
Did you test the BMC air filters on their own to see if they gave any performance improvement?
hmm, test; not really. But I bought the air filters befor I made the exhaust modifications. But I felt no difference during driving :-(! I think the air conditions (0 or 30 degrees or the altitude) have more influence.Did you test the BMC air filters on their own to see if they gave any performance improvement?
