Any recomondations on driving shoes?

I've got a pair if Piloti ones and looking for a replacement.

Just black leather as I don't need any racing stripes or go faster logos (spotted some nice Puma ones in Dubai, but they all have bloody Ferrari logos on them).

Looked at Geox ones (like the idea that they would be cool), looked good but stiff "back" of shoe jabs into my achilles.

And I'm not spending £500 on the over priced Aston ones?

I wouldn't buy a pair of proper race boots. They have no sole to speak of so are worse than useless out of the car. A pair of grippy squash shoes will do you fine unless you want to "look the part".

Naturally, if you've got a DB9 then I suggest something from http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/fashion/fe...wink

I agree with this - hence why I never use my shoes hehe

Not a DB9 driver but I can see how those would appeal to the pipe and "slipper" type driver.

Puma on a budget, Tod's if you feel rich.
Both are ok outside of the car and with casual wear.

The model you choose is up to you. They both have cool stuff as well as trully horrid.

Some good ideas and a bit of trolling the internet have come up with this as a possible solution.

Black (dark brown an option), no stupid logos, no loose fitting (daft looking) loafers, they might work. Speedcats are a well liked shoe, just a more civilised look. At a quoted £65 won't brake (pun intended) the bank.

I have a set of Speedcats, very good but never felt the need to wear them in an Aston. They were great in my Elise.

They'll work a treat on AMS I cars, of course people with AMS II cars are much more in tune with there inner driving talents ;-)

My better half bought me a pair of red Pilotis for the Morgan M3W, but I have never worn them as they are a bit too loud for my taste. I find an ordinary pair of light trainers work just fine, there is much more space between the pedals in an Aston.

I have a pair of Pilotis, but also a couple of pairs of Car Shoes.

(I'll leave it to your lurid imaginations to guess which ones)

I have various cars one being a S1 Elise with my size 11's don't work with anything other than driving shoes.

I also like proper diving shoes in general as I feel they give, well more feel when driving.

My days of bright green driving loafers are past, but good on anyone that can pull them off, if any one really can unless your THAT good.
