nice one -

They've come back saying that they think the Am17's are for a 2011 model.

I've gone back to them and said that there are a number of us looking to order covers for cars 2005-2009 - querying the fitment of these (explaining that this is the only thing getting in the way of potentially a large order!)

Hi Matt, all very frustrating,I am already to go once they have confirmed the wing mirror covers. On that subject, I did speak to an AM Dealership, they confirmed it was 2010.5 onwards the new size wing mirrors came into being. I don't know whether it helps or complicates matters even further with our Chinese friends.

I received a new parts catalogue from OYA Carbon today from Boyca Wu. Its good to see they have a lot of parts in Alibaba now, which has the benefits of ESCROW payments and you can also hire someone in China to view the parts before shipping. I would have used this service originally, but it wasn't available last year when Jarod and I did the first test order. Maybe useful for group purchases.

Thanks for this mark.
Doesn't appear to be all the aston products on alibaba though??

Following on from my previous post...OYA got back to me and unfortunately they can't confirm the fitment of covers for cars up to 2010, a little odd I suppose but there we go. Anyone wanting wing mirror covers should source elsewhere. I have found a uk supplier who may discount for more numbers.

?

Not sure why they don't put everything on Alibaba, it maybe the rules for promoting products for sale.

As for the confirmation of what parts which fit models, someone else suggested on here that they maybe copying parts without knowing the source of those parts. I don't think anyone has had confirmation that OYA Is producing parts under license, and I am not sure how they would handle refunds if a part didn't fit.

When we did the test order we were not sure it would fit and on receipt could only confirm for our cars. Those with the same car model should be Ok, but other owners with different models will have to take the same risk we did for the benefit of the forum. At least now we know they are reliable suppliers of parts now, even if we can't get confirmation of part compatibility.

Hi,

Thanks for the upate, indeed a bit weir, but I agree. Not worth the risk of ordering the minimum of 5 items on Alibaba in order to find out...
But are you still interested to order the remaining items with them?
Also, whats the price point for wing mirror covers in the uk with possible discount?

Thanks again for all the detective work, much much much appreciated!

I've had dealings with other Chinese companies that lists on Alibaba. The reason they don't list all their product on Alibaba is because they use Alibaba as an advertising portal to get interests on their products and deal directly with customers once the customer get in contact with them. Its cheaper to do this as they don't have to pay Alibaba for everything that they sell.

I'm interested in ordering other bits , specifically a front splitter/lip, side strikes and rear diffuser.

Should we start a new topic for a group order?

Got access to 3 pairs (1 being mine, 2 pairs left) of carbon wing mirror covers for £270 inc delivery.
Quite a discount on his normal price. pls note I'm not making anything on this and would expect you to contact him (reputable supplier) yourself.
PM me if interested.

And yes, we need to start a new 'I want to order' thread smile

Hi guys,
I'm a new 'active member', but I was lurking around already quite some time.
About OyaCarbon;
I made an order 2 days ago for;
AM11
AM12
AM23
AM10
AM6
AM15 and AM7
AM4
AM19
Shipping to Brussels (Belgium)

But now it seems there is a shipping-cost of $1081... which I do not understand compared to previous posts. The two parts making it a large box (diffuser and front lip) were ordered in the opening post with a shipping cost of $268...
Did anyone had similar issues?

When we ordered our parts we shipped to the UK, then I shipped on some of the parts to Switzerland for Jarod, as the costs to Switzerland were similarly high. Maybe shipping to the UK is just far more competitive and cheaper.

Sorry Glyn and others - taken my eye of this for a week or so due to work commitments.

I'm abroad until early next week but will get back onto it when I'm back.

Found a solution for the shipping issue.
TNT express will do the pick-up and delivery for €463 ($620) via Airfreight. The difference with DHL is the "express" delivery which TNT estimates at 4-5 days instead of 48hrs.
So problem solved.
