Looks like our old parent company are trying to add Aston styling queues to the new Mondeo!

You'll find that grille on a lot of the current Ford range, first saw it in the US toward the end of last year. Looks nice but shame they didn't come up with something new rather than "stealing" something with such an easily identifiable styling feature.

The new Mondeo is known as the Ford Fusion in the US. Ford seem to be standardising their platforms world-wide which makes complete sense. The 2014 Fiesta is getting a similar looking grille ...

They're already out and about on the Fiesta and I've also seen it on the sporty Focus too (ST?)
Definitely Aston influenced but it does look good!

Yep, one sat in my works car park at work right now....

I think that if Ford were Samsung and Aston were Apple, then Ford wouldn't be allowed to sell them!

It's a shame Aston let them get away with it to be honest frown

Do you not think that the evolution of car design has in one way or another been partly as a result of innovate original ideas by the likes of Ian Callum but mainly down to subtle plagiarism by all the other designers?

would not be too worried as the people is still able to distinguish between a Ford and an Aston

Personally I like the look of the new Fiesta and the grille looks ok
Alo the latest evolution of the Aston grille (ie Rapide S) look different
I guess nowadays is very eay to find similarities

If I was the Ford designer responsible for this grille....or any of the bods responsible for getting it through to production, I'd feel shame...and in actual fact as far as the Fiesta goes, it looked better before the change...

Having seen quite a few Fusions (ie new Mondeos) on the road, they do look very smart! A huge improvement over the current Mondeo in my opinion.
