I want to know the weight of a seat on a Vantage 2008. Someone has an answer?

Thank you!

Off the top of my head...

Lightweight seats are 11kg and they save 20kg... So does 31kg sounds about right?

Bloody heavy smile

Having just had to remove my seats to have them re-trimmed I would say nearer to 40 Kilo's.

I have been looking into a lightweight alternative however unfortunately the Cobra Misano seats I fitted to my Porsche Turbo are slightly too wide, also due to the deep sill on the Vantage you cannot adjust the back using the hand wheel!!

I was at Aston Martin in Derby last week and they had a V12V in the showroom with lightweight seats which I was surprised to see were fixed back, however they still used the original electric adjustable rails for front and back movement, height and the clever part they even tilt the fixed seat.

I have spoken to Cobra and they have said that they are looking to develop a range of quality carbon fibre fixed back sports seats in several different styles, these can be specked to individual customer needs so they will have an OEM look.

As soon as I have more details I will post up my findings and pictures as I will definitely be having a pair for my Vantage as the original Aston ones work out to be about £8K ouch !!!!!!!!!!!!

Having just recieved the 2009 DBS hardback brochure from a very kind fellow PHer I note the DBS could be ordered with lightweight seats. Did anyone actually do it I wonder, are they the same as V12V?

Agreed, pretty sure they are the same. If you ordered a 2+0 coupe, no reason not to; surprised not many did.

Yep, that looks very similar to mine.

Without seeing the back, it is hard to say definately, but the front looks exactly like mine (except the DBS stitching obviously)

They say DBS on them so I don't think you need to worry if they fit in a V12V wink

Makes a change you posting a pic of someone else's interior too.

I tried a DBS with lightweights at my dealer before having to decide on LW or the Sport Seat when speccing my V12V (which was a new one - have i mentioned it?)

these seats were launched first in DBS but you pretty much never see them for sale with those seats

I find it odd that they won't do them as a heated seat, but keep them electric. To me it should be one or the other - once there is no heated element and all you can do is move them forwards/backwards and adjust the angle of the entire seat, you'd think they would do away with the electric side of things altogether which would reduce even more weight and lower them, which would be no bad thing at all

To put heated in can't have been difficult or in the scheme of things, costly, bearing in mind the cost of the lightweight seat without the heated element

Thank you very much for your answers

I look with status (http://www.statusracing.com/blog) por replace my seats too heavy for me. We get around 11 kg.

Here the selected combo:

We could see for a control group. The price per seat is around $ 1800 I think.
