Random question.

For some unbeknownst reason I have recently become obsessed with trying to find and possibly buy a Renault Spider. It looks as though it could be fun rare quirky toy that I could keep and (I would have thought) not really lose any money on. I know they are hardly cheap for what they are and yes I know everyone says an Elise is better but has anyone had any first/second/third hand experiences. Am I mad?!

One major drawback is that I am seriously considering buying a 308QV as a toy and buying he Spider would put that on hold. Again, any experience or thoughts on the 308?

Both would be very much 3rd cars so no DD issues.

A bloke near me on Sandbanks has one - I simply love it.

Probably a load of ste as a drivers car (wild guess) but they do look the business on a sunny day.

Seen a couple on track days
Actually very capable cars
Super rare only 60 RHD ones
No roof
True hard core version had no windscreen!

I'd be looking at a Lotus 340R or 211 instead (depending on what you REALLY want it for wink )
