What makes these cars '1of 7' Q cars ? As I say, utter rubbish. At best, there may have been 7 cars ordered by one person/family in the UAE which were 'bulk upgraded'.
As I understand it from the factory guy that came out to my car there was a batch of 7 which went to a single UAE client
that makes a lot of sense

It's a lovely looking site isn't it
From looking at it one imagines a special office that you enter to 'design' your car. But of course, reality is another thing altogether. The service provided by 'Q' has always been provided by AM, so it is exactly nothing new and in fact misleading as you have pointed out.

People who order their Astons, as opposed to buying them off the showroom floor (such as yourself), specify their car the way they wish it to be equipped/finished. The more money you have and/or recognition as a long time AM customer, the more likely you'll get the attention of the factory and get what you want. The same as it always has been, Q or no Q.

And regarding the 1-77, at that price EVERY one of them is bespoke, of that you can be certain. So to suggest that some are by 'Q', thereby implying that others are off-the-shelf, is the height of misleading advertising.

summed up very succinctly

So in relation to the earlier post, by very definition, the minute it's a 'one of 7 Q ONE 77' it's no longer what Q stands for, which is a one-off, unique to that customer's specification

Harmless bit of publicity seeking. It only seems tacky because we're relatively sooo much poorer, it's

...probably to them what an XR3i is to me when you consider the kinds of luxury private aircraft they go around in.
